It was just a terrible accident. Nothing more. You can't keep an 11 year old boy locked in the closet all day long. I can remember when I was a kid in the 60's kids were locking themselves in old refrigerators and suffocating.

And subsequently, a law was passed that required anyone disposing of a refrigerator to either remove (or otherwise secure) the door. I wonder if that law would be applicable in this case?

Seems like I read the trunk had malfunctioned. I believe trunks are designed to be opened from the inside.

The sad thing is that in our quest to create a risk-free world (the goal of every liberal) we are going to have to lock up our kids in rubber rooms 24 hours a day.

I can remember going outside and roaming the woods from sunup to sundown in the summer. Kids can't do that anymore. Partly because we allow pedophiles to exist, but also because we no longer allow for the possibility of accidents.

Even on this conservative board, as soon as anyone dies accidently, the assumption is that someone is to blame and must be punished.

It's all about Hillary's Village, and even Freerepublic has the disease.

Good point. Think I'll take a look around my prop. and my parents' prop. and see if there is anything I'm overlooking.
