Shows the state of American education. George Washingotn was in a class of his own. Ronaldus Maximus is right up there, though, after Lincoln perhaps. Agree. Any such contest, even lame ones like this one, should only be about who's the 2nd greatest.

That's the problem right there. Too few are familiar with US History. Elvis, Oprah, Bill Clinton ?????
Please!! We have really lost perspective when we include these people in a list of Greatest Americans.
I love Elvis, I enjoy watching Oprah, and I respect that Clinton was a US President. But they don't belong on this list - anywhere.
