Ah man, that's beautiful.
God only creates a man like Ronald Reagan once a century. I loved that man.

My thoughts exactly---

Obviously, anyone that voted in this, didn't study the EARLY years of America enough!

I don't think he'll wear her dress, but look for thong lines under his pants.

The DUmmies are already whining (when do they ever NOT whine) and suspect that they will be doubling up on their mass quantities of meds.

I voted for Washington, but it was very close in my own mind between GW and Reagan. I'll bet there'll be some batty liberals over this one! Will have to tune in to Rush tomorrow.

Kids today know more about putting condoms on bananas than they know about our first President. It's no wonder he didn't place first in this name recognition and popularity contest.

This entire list was too skewed toward recent history. Oprah and Elvis were in the top ten, ahead of FDR!!! Clinton (7) and GW Bush (6) were there too.

Also, what the heck was Michael Jackson doing in the top 100?...that in and of itself makes me shudder

I think people tend to vote for the greatest person in their own lifetime. Frankly they were all great men in their ways but Reagan was truely the greatest in my lifetime.

Hell, the fact that Oprah is in the top 10 makes the whole thing bogus.

One big popularity contest, really.

The final result does go to show, however, that conservative voters continue to be a powerful force.

"Now, wait just a minute. I was in Vietnam. We didn't have contests like this back in Vietnam fella. I bet there were votes in Ohio that didn't get counted."

"Well, John, don't worry. I voted for you........................before I voted against you."

If you can stomach it, that link was posted on the thread at DU. It's HILARIOUS! Example: Scroll past the photo of RWR to the "myths", and they claim that the economy was "all up" after Carter left office, while under Reagan the economy tanked--NO MENTION that not long after the economy SOARED under Reagan. No one can argue that, so they just...skipped it!

Then again, don't go there, don't give them the hit, just take my word for it--them folks be da-RANGED!

MLK beats the Father of our Country?

Outrageous.

Yes, it's an absolute outrage. Here's a guy who had whores sent up to his room, sympathized with communists, and whose star was falling before he was killed.

The fact that Oprah even made the damn list makes me sick to my stomach. Oprah and ML King together couldn't touch Condoleeza Rice in my book!

Tom Cruise would not approve, but Katie Couric would have to be put on some kind of medicine to stop her from having a fit when she hears this.

I'd give it to George Washington. Since his time, the system has become too political, and a man of his ability and character (it's already extraordinarily rare to find those together) would have a far harder time getting elected.
