The best thing America could do for 'Africa' is to refuse to give them one more dime.
So, I guess that means that I disagree with my Congressman.

Yes, Hyde is actually my Congressman.

Yo, MadIvan. Centuries of aid and help given to African nations have not helped. Why? Because Africans will not make an effort to help themselves.
My image of Africa is; millions standing around waiting for someone to come along and stick a Twinkie in their mouths. If no one does, they fall over and die.
Even though billions of dollars have been given to Africa and western technology has been imported, Africa, except for South Africa before Mandela, has not moved forward in the past 2000 years.
It's hopeless. The only humanitarian thing to do is to continue to feed them. But we should give them no money which only goes to their leaders' Swiss bank accounts.

And I agree very strongly.
What this country is coming to!
In no time at all we will be in worse condition (culturally, economically, fincancially and healthwise) than the enemy countries we're helping.
Why is it that America must always help Africa. About for once Africa help us?
