>>>Wouldn't another form of property be my bank account?

Already being done in NJ.

Any accounts that have been inactive for 3 years are seized by the state.

This is creating major problems for people that have bonds, renters securities and children's accounts.

Of course, agents of the American government would do the same thing. If someone resists imprisonment, that person, too, will be shot and killed. The only difference between the Chinese and the Americans is that Americans are being more amenable to the demands of their government.
I STILL say 'the kid' writes like an amateur; too quick to reach for the hyperbole, but then again, he is 'writing' for a particular crowd and this work appears in WND ...

Any 'amateur' can use hyperbole for 'examples' to support his case, this guy needs some additional exposure and years of study to widen that range of examples he can choose from, and NOT instantly reach for the hyperbolic ...

Thanks for the ping.

I wonder if the Congress and the Senate can declare a decision of the Supreme Court unconstitutional, as this one certainly is.

Five Supremes will be in their 80's or 90's by 2016. Two more will be in their late seventies at that time. (I am excluding Rhenquist from this analysis.)

Whoever is president in '08 and '12 could appoint SEVEN supremes.

Here's my silly little problem. I'm a real estate investor. I was planning on diversifying and investing in farm land. I'm rethinking any type of investment in this country now. What stops some local body from turning around and "taking" what I purchase and pay me pennies on the dollar. I don't want to build another shopping center, I was thinking long term farm land as a rentable commodity.

If Hillary is president for two terms, we could easily have an all Clinton-appointee Supreme Court. Two are already there. Hil could easily add six more, leaving only a comparatively young Thomas (who better ride Greyhound for 8 years, or else have his planes ck'd out real good before flying.)

That has been happening in NJ since 1999 (that I know of)

Farms have been seized left and right.

You may remember hearing about this most famous one. Our former Governor (Gay American) threatened this farmer.

http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/nj/publicaffairs/NJ_Press/files/dami0127_r.htm

Remember this story? Political bribes a la McGreevey "Machiavellian" style?

I stupidly thought the Halper Farm issue was put to rest since this scandal was busted.

Washington Stables http://www.washingtonstables.com owned by Halper's Family Farm will be shut down by October 2005 a la eminent domain.

(NO, not the only story, just the one that got the most media coverage)

Is it time for a born again party in America? Electing conservatives who are supposed to put conservatives on the bench hasn't been working to well. Maybe its time to change our approach to things. Maybe the criteria for the politicians should be their faith.

The alternative is to start taking them out, one by one. That's a messagethat any tyrant can appreciate. When that day comes, I won't stand and fight the confiscators. I'll hunt down the ones who sent them.

You are right, it has been going on for a long time. I believe it will go more quickly now. What is to stop a person or corporation with the ear of his elected officials from taking your property or mine? Nothing. Nothing at all, all he has to do is say he will provide more taxes to the government--and when was the last time you heard the government of anything say "No, thanks anyway" to more money.

I am really concerned that there is not more traction on this development, it was all over the web yesterday but now seems to be fading away. If we do nothing, but depend on our States to protect our property, we will rue the day! The Constitution of the United States should rein supreme and anyone who thinks it does not guarantee the rights of free people to own their property, free from seizure by the Government, is brain dead---or has an very unhealthy agenda for the common man.

Bush? You've got to be kidding me. He's not the guy, unless you enjoy watching him fiddle while America burns.

Funny that this 16 old "gets it", but the vast majority of Americans haven't a clue as to what just happened here.
