HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT ? (Be careful what you wish for !)
There is no denying NY Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has the intelligence,presence, determination,and political connections to be a viable candidate for President in 2008.
The Democratic Party might well respond favorably this time to the idea of a woman in the Oval Office,and,from what I've seen of the Republican possibilities,she might very well be a shoo-in.
I have an idea we will still be entangled-to at least some degree-in Iraq and Afghanistan.The situation in these two countries is not something apt to just fade away with elections,constitutions,or the opening of Walmart Discount Centers next door to every mosque.
Senator Clinton,as a Presidential candidate needs only a promise of immediate withdrawal of US forces from these areas to be assured the nomination.
It is a promise that will bring the sometimes-skittish extreme left wing of the party back into the fold;that will capture undivided Mainstream Media attention;that will assure her-for the most part- the Woman's Vote.
America,she may well say, needs a woman's touch.
If Hillary runs-and she shows every sign of wanting to-she is very apt to sweep a Democratic Party majority into office with her,and there will be few obstacles in her path.
The troops will come home: for rest,relaxation,and re-fitting.
The new President will thank them for their selfless sacrifices,and berate her predecessor for having demanded too much from them. Never again !,she will say.We cannot impose such burdens on our Reserve and Guard units in the future !
Unfortunately,the world is still a very uncertain place,and we must maintain certain levels of troop strength.
President Clinton will then call on Congress to enact a Universal Military Training Act-so that all men and women between certain ages may receive basic instruction in military skills:training that may well help them to achieve greater success later in life.
Some shirkers may object to the idea,and come up with various schemes to obstruct this valuable learning process.
This could cause problems,but the President will recall there were certain powers given the government in the original Patriot Act:powers she originally objected to,but now finds necessary to implement -as a temporary measure,of course.
There will always be neo-cons and other assorted soreheads who will demand to know why a draft is being forced upon the American people. (Yes:these churls will actually refer to UMT as a "draft" !)
A grim,determined President Clinton will then address the nation,alerting all to the new threat.
GENDER APARTHEID .
We will learn women are being beaten,humiliated,stripped of their dignity,and barred from participation in politics in : Algeria,Iran,Pakistan,Saudi Arabia,Somalia,Yemen,and a host of other places.
We will learn it is the duty of the United States and/or The United Nations to set things right; to bring peace,justice,and equality to these suffering women.
We will learn the UN has been petitioned repeatedly on this subject-at least twice by the President herself-and has done nothing but make meaningless protests.
We will learn,because of shameful UN inaction, it is incumbent upon us to act NOW !
About now, you may be wondering: " Where do you come up with this crap ? "
The short answer is I spent a lot of time on the internet, searching things like Hillary Clinton/feminism/gender apartheid and I suggest you do likewise.

You'll note she was keenly interested in the destruction of the Taliban because of their mistreatment of women-and that Osama bin Laden and 9/11 were almost afterthoughts.

What Hillary has to do is play the victimized wife for the stupid white woman vote, promise more welfare for the Mexican vote, and lie, lie, lie, like the rest of them.
The Republican Party hasn't cultivated anyone to run against her (that sports god/coach from Virginia doesn't count). None of them are famous enough, look good enough on television, or can convince the Rep troops that they regularly talk to God and so rally the Religious Right (ie: Freeperbots).

Unlike her pathetic "husband", I fear Hillary would know exactly what to do with a Congress majority if by some tradgedy she were elected.
Bill squandered his first two years with gays in the military and secret socialized health care schemes.
A Hildabeast in the Oval Office would proceed down the Euro-socialist road.

I am tiptoeing around it but believe you know what I am saying.
I have been saying this for months. Hillary Clinton needs to spend a long weekend in Pelican Bay in the weight room with a jar of KY tied around her neck for some perspective.
Why does everyone assume she is "intelligent"? Activism and critical theory application takes no more intelligence than denying reality. Power and position does not necessarily reflect intellect nor does success in politics. And morphing to "new" positions only takes lack of principle. So why does she "certainly" have the intelligence?
I don't think she can get elected. With her shrieking cackle, she's every man's nightmare ex-wife.

The President-for-Life of Argentina wakes from her afternoon nap,removes the cucumber slices from her eyes,and gazes out the window.Something catches her eye !
Donning her robe,she pads over to the balcony window,and pulls aside the window treatments...to discover the (color coordinated) ships of the North American Navy massed in the harbor !!
Picking up her cellphone,she speed-dials the North American Ambassador.
