"Rebel suspects". Yeah right, not women hating, fascist terrorists or anything bad like that.
AP, CNN, Reuters, bastions of "balanced", unbiased, "truthful" reporting. A little sarcasm here.

Most of these poor souls have no idea what they are fighting and dying for!
Good to cull the dimwits from the herd.

The bodies of 76 suspected rebels were found in the mountains of southern Afghanistan,... Does this mean that ACLU lawyers will now be going to Afghanistan to represent the families of those 76 "suspected" rebels who were killed without due process?

I know what you mean. Had a REMF major asked me one time how did I know the guy I had just shot was a VC. I told him he was wearing black pajamas, had an AK-47 and was shooting at me. That's all the proof I need.
Or the one in Iraq where the US troops caught a couple of guys "allegedly" in the act of setting up an IED. If they caught them in the act then it wasn't alleged.

At least they didn't call them alleged rebel suspects. I guess the soldiers should have arrested them and see if the ACLU lawyers get them off.

The increase in fighting has reinforced concerns that the Afghan war is widening, rather than winding downWhose "concerns"? According to this chickenboy's own writing, we are taking the fight to the remnants of the Taliban in their mountain hideouts and caves. Maybe he is "concerned" because we are running down the scum as they flee on their horses and motorcycles. I supposed that might "widen" the area of combat by a few miles.
To: garyhope
I'm surprised AP didn't call them "heroic freedom fighters".

"WTF is a "rebel suspect"???"
A term used to avoid being labeled bias towards American interest. Of course by using this term AP is showing a bias towards those who want to destroy America.
So in short, the next US air strike should be conducted on the editorial offices of the Associated Press. The press is trying to become the most effective enemy of the war on terror.
I suggest the American military declare the MSM terrorist enablers and just welcome the PC wimps a quick death.

The increase in fighting has reinforced concerns that the Afghan war is widening, rather than winding down. I bet the Taliban are more concerned about the widening conflict. 'Sounds like they are getting schooled again.
The picture I get is of a heavily bearded man driving as fast as he can down a mountain road like he was being chased by death itself. He's thinking "oh now I remember why we shouldn't try to hold territory" ! And there are hundreds of his dead buddies laying on the ground in back of him as proof.
And the MSM's fascination with body counts continues unabated.
