Sens Ben Nelson, D-Neb., and Ron Wyden, D-Ore

I'm surprised they didn't wait until November or December.

Bush declared the detainees "enemy combatants,"...

Of course he did. That is what they are. They were rounded up in a combat zone, armed and there for one reason. To kill our Soldiers and Iraqi Soldiers and civilians.

They are being coddled big time.

We should cancel their HBO, but the Liberals...and the Democrats...would think that is inhumane.

One question for these honorable members of Congress: Who's side are they on?

I think they should get the copters fired up and loaded with all US Military personnel. When the America haters of the US Congress arrive, unlock all cells by remote control from the choppers and wave buh-bye as they fly away to a better America.

Off subject for a moment please.

I have been searching for articles from al jazerra that praise the democrats. All I have been able to find are just news articles. I posted the links to some liberals I am fighting with, and they pointed out that it was just news stories and not al jazerra supporting them. Technically, they're right. I'm looking for a way to wash the egg off my face. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Who is going to tell that moron Ron Wyden, D-Ore -- where Guantanamo is located - and when they get there...

The jerk is so geography challenged -- how is hell can anyone trust his judgement or opinion on ANYTHING?

Most of the Democrats wouldn't recogize a fact, if it bit them in their a$$.

"Sens Ben Nelson, D-Neb., and Ron Wyden, D-Ore., were visiting the prison separately."

Ron Wyden? Now THAT is rich!

There's a criminal referral against Wyden relating to our national security.

>>Lawmakers in both parties want Congress to take a stand on the legal rights of detainees. <<<

Enemy Combatants don't get any rights.

This is such a joke. The prisoners are a Red Herring. Castro just wants Gitmo closed because of our base.

And how was your orange-glazed chicken, fresh fruit crepe, steamed peas and mushrooms, and rice pilaf, Ms. Tauscher????? Was it torture?

Under increasing attacks over conditions at the prison, the White House and Pentagon have defended almost daily the conditions and treatment of detainees at Guantanamo.

Only because the press has kept it front and center Liz, you media puke.

Going to Gitmo does no good unless they have something to compare the experience with. So we should fly them directly to Iraq and drop them off in Fallujah (sp) or Baquba and let the terrorists show them the difference.

"Lawmakers from both parties
fear that the prison at the U.S. Navy base
has become an image problem because of claims that
U.S. interrogators abuse and torture inmates."

Spineless US Senate would rather protect Hanoi Kerry
than deal with the anti war crowd.

Anyone who thinks Hanoi Kerry isn't behind the anti war crowd needs to get a clue.

It's time to support our troops and ignore the jelly fish in the US Senate!

There is no need to impeach Hanoi Kerry from the US Senate

He is there illegally!

WAKEUP AMERICA!

For those who "forgot" what Hanoi Kerry
did in the past read on and learn the truth.

Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen

Why is Kerry still in the US Senate?
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3
http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.amendmentxiv.html

And the FBI has proof of his treason.

Hanoi Kerry Timeline of a traitor

May 1970
Kerry and Julia traveled to Paris, France and met with Madame Nguyen Thi Binh, the Foreign Minister of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of Vietnam (PRG), the political wing of the Vietcong, and other Viet Cong and Communist Vietnamese representatives to the Paris peace talks, a trip he now calls a "fact-finding" mission.

(U.S. code 18 U.S.C. 953, declares it illegal for a U.S. citizen to go abroad and negotiate with a foreign power.)

I think they got a look at Sheila Jackson.
