Family Suspects Missing pet Abducted by PeTA

More questions tonight surrounding a well-known animal rights group.

PETA-- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

It's the second time in a week the group has come into the spotlight.

Last week, police arrested two PETA employees suspected of euthanizing more than 30 animals and disposing of many of them in a dumpster in Ahoskie.

Now, Gates County Sheriff Edward Webb says he's had calls about PETA workers picking up pets from people’s property.

One local family says they called PETA to pick up a couple of stray animals. But when they came home, their own pet was missing.

"His eyes, it breaks my heart, looking into them."

Kristi Groves remembers the day her dog, Aries, disappeared.

She says it's the same day she called PETA to pick up two strays.

"I came back, Aries was gone, and PETA had been here," says Groves.

Groves says she called PETA but they said they didn't have her dog.

For months, she had no clue what happened to Aries.

That was until---

"Last night, when my mom went on the Internet, they found a picture of him on PETA’s Website saying that they took him from North Carolina, saved him, and adopted him out. That's my baby, I want him back," says Groves.

Just a reminder that if you participate in ANYTHING related to any animal rights group, to keep an eye on your own animals, even something as inoccuous as seeking adoption of one of their animals, or conversing with one of their members. Maybe I'm being a tad bit sensationlist the way I'm presenting it, but it's better than finding your own pets were trucked to a landfill the week before. Just use a standard amount of caution when dealing with them, about the same amount you would utilize when browsing a pawn shop's stock.

Oh, man, I can't imagine how we would react if they did that to our pets. My kids would go militant on them. I hope this lady hires the nastiest lawyer inexistence.

IS THIS THE END OF PETA?

Gosh I hope so.

Just a reminder not to get involved with the looney toon groups. The local animal control people would have been a better choice.

Why would anyone in their right mind call PETA to control strays?

Pretty soon PETA will be lobbying for the rights of "homeless animals," and demanding public money to feed them and allow them to roam free.

In Tulsa, PETA folk are easy to spot.

They are apparently poor drivers, as their severely dented heaps, splattered with wall-to-wall angry bumper stickers, stand out at the local Quik Trip or grocery store.

Use caution when confronting any PETA peeps. I recommend a ten foot pole with one of those draw loops on the business end.

I was just reading another article where PETA is now banned from this one county in the south, I forget where. They will not let them operate there. Now if they would just do that here in NYC life would be perfect. Well that and getting Hillary locked up would be even better.

"Last night, when my mom went on the Internet, they found a picture of him on PETA’s Website saying that they took him from North Carolina, saved him, and adopted him out. That's my baby, I want him back," says Groves.

Hopefully this woman will not press the matter to the point where she finds out that PeTA is lying again. Since they put down something like 90% of the animals that fall into their hands, the odds for little Aries are not looking good. As soon as they took that cute little picture for their website, Aries had fulfilled his usefulness to them.

PeTA is a fund-raising machine disguised as an animal-protection charity. The cute photo supported the fund-raising arm (which is why they stole the dog in the first place). Unless one of their nomenklatura decided to bring the dog home, why would they go through the trouble and expense of adopting him out?

Here`s some more brilliance from the PETA freaks.......

Lisa Franzetta, dressed in a fur coat, drinks from a toilet in New York's Times Square during a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals protest. PETA has made a series of TV ads that show people in fur coats engaging in behaviour that animals may naturally do and the protest was a re-enactment of the ads. Photo: Reuters

At first, humane animal groups are altruistic and well meaning. Like the humane society in my little town, once they start getting sufficient money they become bloated, arrogant, and self serving and forget the original intention of the organization. I used to believe in them but now I see them as a liberal controlled hellhole for animals; kind of a reflection of what liberals would like to do to we conservatives.

I have an animal rights wacko in the neighborhood, who was unfortuneately the only person my mother would listen to regarding the proper control of her dogs which were multiplying unchecked. The wacko basically took over my mother's life and it was a real struggle involving the local authorities to push the wacko and friends away. In the time wacko held sway not only the unwanted, but also two puppies I wished to keep, whose mother died defending them from a snake, were taken. Sometimes and some people just refuse to listen to their family but will believe ANYTHING some outside expert says...........GRRRRRRRR!

The PETA,ASPCA etc are more about people control than animal welfare.

Perhaps someone else can find it. I tried and only came up with links regarding PeTA talking about actions towards certain counties for rottweilers and such. I'd be interested in knowing how and who banned them.

The animal rights fanatics believe that domesticated animals are unnatural and have been tainted by mankind and these animals should be killed. It does not surprise me that they would capture and kill pets.

Holy cow. If only they knew how much I liked that picture, and why, it would be pulled from all AR group circulation. Can't think of a more fitting position for those headcases than acting like their most beloved 'totem animal.'

I was not aware of that being the reason behind it. I thought they really were out of room, due to complete mismanagment of their funds. (Everything going to advertising and imported delicacies for their dinner parties.) This actually makes it worse because they believe they AREN'T being selfish. That they're saving these animals by killing them, or 'releasing their souls back into the mother earth' as I heard a vegan say once. (She was against the whole pet thing too.) They truly are crazy.

The next time a PETA protest takes place there should be dozens of posters with the PETA abuse news stories. Fight fire with fire. BTW once on fire drag out the fire hoses like that guy did awhile back.

I have absolutely no repect for PETA. At best, they are misguided. I feel that many more a just focused anarchists. Either way, it does society no good.
