PORTSMOUTH, Va. (June 22, 2005)--Petty Officer 3rd Class (BM3) Roscoe Deel cleans a buoy on the deck of the cutter Frank Drew. The crew of the keeper class buoy tender service the 381 aides to navigation in the second largest commercial seaport on the east coast, the Port of Hampton Roads, where an average of 2,500 commercial ships call annually. Frank Drew's aides to navigation mission is essential to ensure these ships make it into the port to import over 16 million tons of cargo and export well over 26 million tons of coal.
