He has Scientology friends and thinks we rely too much on drugs.
Bet you didn't know tht Sean had an M.D. too. But he did say he discussed it with his wife. Who knew his wife was an M.D. too.
"He has Scientology friends and thinks we rely too much on drugs."
True. I believe that we certainly shouldn't be quick to give Ritalin to kids. However, *some* psychiatric disorders are indeed caused by chemical imbalances. Not all, of course, but some. If medication or psychiatricy can truly help, don't you think it should be worth a try?
BTW: Someone should tell Hannity that Scientology isn't exactly a bed of roses. Has he ever heard of Lisa McPherson, for example?

What about Xenu?

You're misrepresenting Hannity's response. While he agrees with Cruise that medications are often overprescribed, especially for example Ritalin for schoolchildren, he does *NOT* agree with the rest of Cruise's moonbattery on this subject, and in fact he played portions of Cruise's "medical lecture" and (rightly) ridiculed it. Nor does Hannity agree with the degree to which Cruise takes the "overprescribed" issue, since Cruise feels that *all* drug treatments are quackery and that all maladies can be corrected with "vitamins" and other "natural" treatments.
Now if you want an example of a radio talk host who *does* agree with Cruise's rant 100%, I just heard Michael Savage say exactly that on his radio show.
I agree with the over-reliance on drugs as well. I have two friends who went on Prozac in their mid-thirties to help them over romantic disappointments. Well, ten years later they're still on them, they've gained considerable weight and have NO libido. On the other hand, they have no romance problems. It makes me angry, what shrinks do to people, giving them drugs to "help".
Once, in my mid-twenties, I was really unhappy and saw a shrink. Well, he talked with me for a bit, then gave me a prescription for Halcion, a sleep medication I guess. Anyway, I took it one night and swore never again. I wasn't crazy, but I knew that if I took that stuff I would be. I threw it away and never went back to him.
