"Love her or hate her, the press are desparate for the WH!"
Pray for W and Our Amazing Troops
I'm mystified as to how this particular sentence by the author, Kathleen Parker, has raised the ire of so many readers here. It is only a stylistic, literary contrivance. It simply means that whether you are a supporter of this reptile or if you are a sworn, arch enemy, anything in print (or by extension, on the internet) about her will draw you to the article.
For supporters, of course, they are looking for anything positive, or any excuse or apologetic reasoning. For detractors (like me), we're looking for facts and then ways to unmask, expose and reveal her for what we believe she is and has always been - an amoral, possibly criminal power predator.
I'm sure that I'm not speaking for all Hillary haters; only for myself, but I can say that if there is a "fascination" with this rapaciously amoral woman, it lies in the odd bewilderment that "normal people" (like most of us) feel at the stunningly blatant amorality of both of the Clintons. We can't grasp the reality that these two individuals set out to gain fame, fortune and the ultimate power - and they succeeded, over and over again, despite the blatant criminality, bending, twisting, pretzelizing all of the rules of the game to the point of subverting government agencies........and like the EverReady bunny, they keep on going and going and going.
It is like watching a living nightmare - NOT "living history." Unfortunately, it is a living national nightmare that won't end unless or until she (at least) is severely exposed and definitively defeated - i.e. STOPPED IN HER TRACKS, once and for all.
That's my explanation for why the "love her or hate her, America can't seem to get enough of Sen. Hillary Clinton" is an accurate statement. If it were NOT, then this column and a hundred like it on Free Republic would receive no readers and no responses.
