ORANJESTAD, Aruba For the first time, Aruban authorities on Friday detailed their suspicions in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway (search), saying they believe the Alabama teen was murdered.
Joran van der Sloot (search) and his friends Deepak and Satish Kalpoe are being held under suspicion of murder and kidnapping as well as being an accessory to murder.

Bush gal, you and me, we could go into business being Private I's. Our theories just about match. There's not a lot you can spend a bunch of money on at 3am.
That's what I think too -- overdose of date-rape drug; dad called in to help hide the evidence; takes money out of atm to rent a boat to dump the body? or ??? to take the body to the mainland? or to ... take it out deep. Didn't they mention there were sharks by the Lighthouse? take it out by the Lighthouse. What slimes.
I beg to differ. LOL! Having had more than My share of memorable fun many times during many wee hours of the morning. None I can elaborate on in mixed company, mind you. *grin*
You're welcome. Her election-night coverage really annoyed me - only time we've seen cable news in 2 years!
"The fifth man, Paul van der Sloot (search) the father of 17-year-old Joran was being held on suspicion of complicity to pre-meditated murder, complicity to kidnapping and murder and kidnapping." (My emphasis)
If it really was pre-meditated then whoever did it is sicker than I thought. Perhaps ir was Deepak and Satish Kalpoe that killed her for offending their car by getting it on with Jaron in the back seat.
Ted auuuhhhhhhh Willia auuuhhhhhh ms? Lol! He's gotten a auuuhhhhhh lot better, imo. :)
Maybe because she and hub are Scientologists.
Really? I had no idea. We don't have cable here. The only time I've seen Fox News in the last two years was Election Night (FRiends invited us over to watch), and I was very turned off by her commentary.
She does not look that bad before. Wonder what her 'ang-up was? Maybe a fan's comments hit a bit to close to the mark? I definitely would not kick her out of bed for eating crackers in it...
Bereft of any real facts, that's the direction I'm going.
Girl dies due to alcohol/drugs or perhaps she's got such a faint pulse, they assume she's dead. Calls dad, dad either gets help from party boat guy or sends son off to find him while he lugs the corpse to the shark feeding area. Either that, or girl dies, Kid feeds girl to sharks, gets money to pay off boat guy via dad's instructions so as to have an alibi.
Despite him being a "boy of priveledge" I can't see how it could be a premeditated murder UNLESS dad provided the drug ahead of time. Such a sad story :(
Very sad! Your theory sounds right on to me except the premeditated part is bothering me. What about this? Young ,brash ,cocky ,arrogant, 17 year old makes a disgusting bet with his two friends saying'' Look I'll bet you I can have sex with any woman I want. Then preys on this young sweet American girl. Things don't progress as rapidly as he likes [after all he has to get up for school the next day] so he slips her something , some extacy or some such date rape drug, Im not up on the names. She is an all A student ,very straight, and having never taken drugs before starts to vomit or something ends up choking on her own vomit and dies........Then the scenario you laid out takes place. Wouldn't this be premeditation if he knowingly slipped something in her drink to loosen her morals, that mixed with alchohol causing her death would be premeditated though accidental manslaughter. Right? He then panics and calls the dad who helps with the cover up!
Those types of drugs are nothing unusual at tourist resort destinations.
I wonder if these suspects have any history on that type of thing. I know the cruise ships have problems with sexual assaults, why is Aruba any different? Same type of party down mentality with this element of tourism and the hospitality industry in general.
I know a gal who was an entertainer singing and dancing on a cruise ship. The stories she told me were outrageous, some of them were about Aruba.
I saw some bantering about Aruba here on FR, and after what I heard from my lady friend, I agree, it is a third world hell-hole...
Well, that's possible. I don't think you can have premeditated manslaughter. I'm pretty sure manslaughter occurs without premediation. I'm not a lawyer, shrug, I think the terms are mutually exclusive, at least in US law. I suppose there can be premeditation that leads to manslaughter but they would have to be unrelated events. Like you planned to blow up Mortars on the 4th of July, one blows up accidently leading to manslaughter. The Charge would be manslaughter and I don't think preditation figures into it. If you rigged it to do it on purpose, it'd be premeditated murder 1.
Still, it appears that Dad van der slug covered up for Urine van der slug. I think it's just a matter of time before this story outs entirely.
I suspect the suspect(s) and the potential accomplices have done this before (drugged rape, procuring sex slavery), many times. This is just the first death that resulted as evidenced by their incompetent cover-up. The father is likely their mentor, or one of his associates...
Urine van der slug LOL Thats great! Yes, your right after thinking about what I wrote. There can't be [''premedicated -'accidental''] manslaughter, I'm no lawyer either but the two words together are kind of an oxymoron.Or maybe I am! LOL Anyway I agree this thing is coming to a head soon!
She has definitely grown on me and she is good with people too.
Your theory is close to my own and others on the thread. As to the premeditation, I thought I read they were into gangsta rap, and pretending they were gangster's.
I'm ok with her role on FOX also. She certainly seems able to get into places others can't, or ahead of them (being with FOX may have something to do with that).
