ORANJESTAD, Aruba — For the first time, Aruban authorities on Friday detailed their suspicions in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway (search), saying they believe the Alabama teen was murdered.
Joran van der Sloot (search) and his friends Deepak and Satish Kalpoe are being held under suspicion of murder and kidnapping as well as being an accessory to murder.

I didn't say he was driving'' THAT'' night and I heard it on Fox yesterday on the Shepard Smith show. The parents bought him the car, and the mother said he sometimes would sneak out, but he would get rides with other people cause he was still to young to drive. She also said she didn't think it was such a big deal to sneak out of the house, she said most teenagers do.My point being they are in denial about their darling angelic son!

I am very interested in the Natalee Holloway case. This is a pretty young American girl, who goes on holiday to Aruba and disappears.A tiny little island and no one can find her.
I have a beautiful 17 year old granddaughter who just graduated this spring and if something like this happened to her, they probably would have buried me a week ago. I can only imagine what her family is going through.

I'm not sure what to make of the 'premeditated murder' either. I just can't see any of them, heading out that night with plans to murder her. I can see 'premeditated rape' if a date rape drug was used, but not premeditated murder.
One would use the drug with the intent to incapacitate and rape the victim. Murder is not always a byproduct.
The only thing I can think of is that she wasn't given a date rape drug. She could ID them and may have threatened to go to the authorities. If her clothes were torn or there was forced entry, there would be no way anyone could claim she consented. DNA left behind, would create a need to get rid of the body.
Panic sets in.
The ATM withdrawals at 3:00am and at 3:45am (if true) look to me, like a payoff. Half right away and the other half when the deed is done. From the looks of things it took 45 minutes.
My guess is that the DJ took his boat about 20 minutes out to sea, to be sure the currents took the body.
I doubt they would dispose of the body on the east side of the island where the garbage dump and sharks are because there might be a risk of something washing back up on shore.
If the ATM records are true then I'd guess one of two things occurred. 1) They paid someone else to dispose of the body. The DJ. 2) They paid the DJ so they could borrow his boat.
I'm going with, they paid the DJ to get rid of the body. He would know the currents and how to operate his boat. Having done the cruise parties he would know the waters.
the guy from Aruba said tonite that you have to go out at least 1mile for the currents to actually take you out farther...of course, maybe they put a weight on her....
if they put a weight on her, the sonic search might just find her.....

I never saw anyone interview anyone regarding these kids. I only saw their pictures shown twice. I couldn't even tell you what their names were.

How long do you think it takes to start a boat? It doesn't have to be a huge boat, in fact, a smaller one might be better. I think any one of those guys could lift her with no problem. We are only talking a 110 pounds. When I was 26 I could lift and carry more than that.

If I recall correctly one of the fisherman huts was broken into an some anchors were stolen. But I haven't seen a source for that.

From what I understand, it costs some bucks to go to the International School - two of the boys went to. Also, Deepak and Satish's father is a "businessman". According to what I have heard and read, all are considered to be upper middle class and Joran through his father is connected.
