EXIT STRATEGY
SpiderMBA

Posted on 06/24/2005 2:05:49 PM PDT by SpiderMBA

Terrorist sympathizers in the Democrat Party are constantly prattling "EXIT STRATEGY" as if they have latched on to some clever argument. Next time you hear this phrase, ask the Leftist the following:

What was our "EXIT STRATEGY" for the Revolutionary War? After all, it lasted 6 1/2 years and we took on the most powerful military in the world, which also hired Hessians to help them try to defeat us.

NO? You mean there never WAS an "EXIT STRATEGY" for the Revolutionary War? All right then, how about the Civil War? What was the North's "EXIT STRATEGY"? Has that document ever been published? NO? No "EXIT STRATEGY" for the Revolutionary War?

Fast forward to World War I. "EXIT STRATEGY" please. NONE?

World War II. "EXIT STRATEGY" please. What? You mean we STILL have troops in Germany even 60 years after World War II. And don't forget Korea. No "EXIT STRATEGY" there and our troops are still present there in large numbers.

Yes, the Leftists retort, but they're not DYING. Nor are troops in Iraq dying in nearly the numbers civilians are dying on the roads of America. 50,000 a year. Doctors are killing patients at a rate almost twice that. Have policemen eradicated murder in any city in America? NO? You mean people are STILL DYING in America? That's it. Let's pull our people out of the quagmire called America.

EXIT STRATEGY is a uniquely Democratic Party institution -- for losing without dignity, grace and class.

Why do they think the rest of us should be like them, again?

No, to be absolutely fair, it's a strategy for the party that didn't initiate the action. We were asking the Clinton administration what the exit strategy was for Kosovo.

You forgot Kosovo... A "failed" exit strategy.

If people listen, President Bush has been very clear about two issues: 1) the War on Terror will be a long one, and 2) we will leave Iraq when the job is done, and the Iraqi's can fend for themselves. This is a baseball game, not a basketball game.

Secondly, Sen Ted "The Swimmer" Kennedy was calling the terrorists in Iraq 'the dead-enders'. This term was used by our military to describe the Baathist (Iraqi) loyalists. The current homicide bombing idiots are foreign in origin and not Iraqi's.

The only "exit strategies" we need are one for illegal aliens, and another one for judges who think they are above the Constitution.

Obviously you are one of those people that poor Justice Kennedy was talking about today....one of those who needs to have explained to him what laws mean!

If Teddy lived through the Civil War he would ask Lincoln and General Grant for an exit strategy on the Senate floor. He will also question the treatment of prisioners under Union custody.
Just a thought.

The American Revolution and the Civil War are bad analogies for this. They were fought on American soil, so where exactly would we "exit" to? Canada?

If we don't have an exit strategy in Iraq, then what's our victory strategy? In the other wars, we knew what that was: when the enemy was driven out of our country, or surrendered, or agreed to our terms. How do we know when we've won in Iraq? When there's nobody left there who hates us?

What is Kennedy's exit strategy? Or Reid's? Or Pelosi's?
