Kind of backs up what Rush has been saying for weeks. If Democrats sees a pile of excrement, they will go out of their way to step in it.

The Democrats give Turban Durbin a pass on his statements and act so offended when Rove makes lesser statements that are closer to the truth than those of Durbin's. The Democrats have screwed the pooch with respect to truth and for what what America stands. Unfortunately, the Southern axiom of there needs to be a killin' can't be applied to the scuzzy Democrats. I wish we could.

The other bit of genius here is that Rove has blown the Downing Street Memo phoniness right out of the minds of the people. He's taken over the news cycle . . . AGAIN! He should hold out, and hold out, and hold out . . . then deliver a very political, non-apology apology. Let the Democrats get red in the face mad. Let them cry for weeks . . . and then say . . . ok little baby, here's your candy bar.

Rove did the rhetorical equivilent of setting a flaming fudge bag on the Democrats' front porch. In trying to stomp out a harmless fire, the Dems got lots of poop all over themselves.
