She's power-hungry, female ( and therefore the deadlier of the two) and despite the fact that she isn't the brightest light on the Tree, she IS brighter than Slick, and HE won twice.

Uggggghhhh, godz.

You were only 12 and 16?

I feel so OLD!

Believe it or not,I have been watching PBS over the last few months and it's actually watchable.

Maybe they're just trying to survive, thinking the dems will be back.

May be the "carrot and the stick" effect.

We shall see.

The $100 mill is no big deal because, as stated in the article, "Also Thursday, the corporation’s board selected Patricia S. Harrison, a former Republican Party co-chairman, as president and chief executive."

" Please discuss the Libertarian view on abortion and border control so that I can make this critical decision. "

I too would like to hear about the Libertarian view on these subjects .

The GOP didn't wuss out. We now control the Chairmanship and Presidency of the CPB. liberal bias will be squashed. Period. But you've got to love the ridiculous MSM posturing saying "Big Bird gets a reprieve", as if Sesame Street needs public funding to survive. Sesame Street makes tens of millions every single year in retail product sales and licensing fees. It is a huge money maker which subsidizes radical faggot shows like "In the Life".

I would have liked PBS to have been cut down to size, but, since ya knew that wasn't going to happen, shaking them up works.
And, thanks for asking, but, I politely decline the offer of becoming a Libertarian. I pick to stay with the Republican Party, who at least has an elected party member in each branch.

What programs has the LP suceeded in ending? There are essentially two wings of the Republican party: the conservative wing, which is where the 140 reps were who voted against the bill, and the "moderates", which make up around 70-100 representatives depending on the bill. So why not work within the Republican party and elect more conservative members?

Try the Club for Growth. Their candidates haven't always been 100% right, and a few -- a few -- have been rather poor. But most have been good.

Unlike the LP, the CFG has actually won a few elections and have representatives in congress right now. Reps that know that without the Club, they wouldn't be there.

There is no such thing as a Libertarian Party; it is nothing more than a Gentleman’s Debate Club. They refuse to play the real game of Politics. That’s why so many of us who love what the LP says went back to the Republicans. There is only a 2 party system in America if you don't like one you change if from within or if your party becomes so successful they co-op what your message is. Check out the history of the Whig, Bull Moose, Populist Party, Independent, Socialist, Constitution, or Reform Party http://www.presidentsusa.net/thirdparty.html

Why don't you list the backsliding GOP votes as against the good votes? Let's get the list out so that people know who is who.

They're afraid of the Dems trotting out busloads of adolescents who would cry "Republicans killed Big Bird."

What business is it of the federal government to guarantee that a state/city/local government can't excercise eminent domain within its borders?

The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that a local government may seize private property for purposes of profit-making private development, declaring that this constitutes a "public use" under the Constitution. (Kelo v. New London, 04-108).

It was a Federal case, but you knew that didn't you!? Blackbird.
