Hugh just said the Democrats are committed to losing the war.
He's going to play the entire exchange between Senator Kennedy and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld and Senator Kennedy's 15 minute speech on the floor of the Senate next hour. (8-9 pm EDT.)

Dems don't care how far the U.S. goes down the crapper, and they will glady help plunge her along, if it means power for them.
To: Bratch
Of course they do. The lives of our troops and the lives of victims of terrorism worldwide are NOTHING next to their desire to hold political power now.

The Democrats are anti-military, anti-American and pro-terrorist. Of course they want us to lose the war so they can feel good about themselves and feel vindicated in beating the hated Bush.

Poor, fat Teddy lived long enough to turn into his worthless father.
His father was a Nazi sympathizer and defeatist whose Trafalgar Day speech in London was so disgraceful it embarrassed the worst US isolationists.
Far cry from his two war hero brothers and Bobby who at least had the courage to take on the mob.

Hugh playing Rummy now from today.

That has been the reality since the 60's. Amazing how the Rats delude themselves. Everybody knows it's patriotic to call our soldiers Nazis(sarc. off tag for those who can't recognize it any other way)

I've been considering this argument myself recently and I totally agree. It's a terrible statement to have to make about a political party but they are void of any agenda except opposite Bush. This is a political party in severe decline IMHO.

I wish Rumsfeld would have said, "Senator, I will resign as soon as you go to jail for murdering that girl Mary Jo."
I also thought that General Casey was superb!

"Dems don't care how far the U.S. goes down the crapper, and they will glady help plunge her along, if it means power for them." Exactly so. The DemoSocialists would be happy to see America reduced to a smoking moonscape, if it meant they would reign. Any adherents to their party who think otherwise are today's living examples of Lenin's "useful idiots".
By the same token, the political left would gladly see the tens of millions of people in Afghanistan and Iraq slaughtered in bloody chaos as long as it made GWB look bad.
Know thy enemy, and act accordingly.

The Democrats are anti-military, anti-American and pro-terrorist
And the scary part is they are only that way because they think it gets them votes. The scariest part about the Dems is they only believe in POWER.
To: Bratch
NOOOOO. Who'd a thunk it? The enemies within have an agenda & it doesn't include the "will of the people."
To: Bratch
What's the surprise? The dems are socialists and neocommunists! Their objectives are to destroy capitalism and, therefore, the US. They are anti-Americans, anti-Christians and anti-individualist. They want to take control of the wealth and power of the US builders/individualists and turn it over to those who deserve it, keeping, of course, a large share for their efforts.

Having worked with Gen Casey for about 5 months over in Iraq, I can vouch that the man takes no crap from no one.

Poor, fat Teddy lived long enough to turn into his worthless father. He learned foreign policy from Jack, who stuck the Cuban freedom fighters in the back by reneging on promised military assistance. In other words, it runs in the family.
