Didn't we have a Mel Gibson stalker-type-person on Free Republic?

Absolutely - a strange redheaded Afrikaaner woman from Holland with a very high opinion of her own attractiveness.

That's the first person I thought of too, Liz Van Breda. Banned.

Do you know that the word 'stalker' was basterized by the feminist movement and then promoted incessantly by the liberal media?

If you think back to the late 70s and early 80s, the word "stalking" was exclusively used against men. What people used to call 'pursuing thy love interests' became basterdized. So the word stalking a hunting term, which sounds sinister to the hair-brained, became a tool that successfully became part of the American lexicon. All because Gloria Steinem and et al hated men.

Now you know the rest of the story -- good day. ;)

A little info on Sinclair from www.amsiriano.com/ amblog.php?archive=200503

The Passion of the Kook

March 03, 2005 07:36 Zack, the Praying ManiacSometimes when a nutcase gets arrested for being nutty, he looks the part. But Zack Sinclair, who has been stalking Mel Gibson, looks fairly normal. What a shame! I like it when they have a go-funny eye or thick glasses or a lopsided head.

But Sinclair definitely comes from Kooksville. After being "moved" by Gibson's Passion film, he found himself on a mission, and traveled to Gibson's estate where he demanded to "pray" with the famous celeb? because Gibson is ... holy?

It's hard to imagine the inner workings of someone like this. When he was confronted by Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy Mark Winn, Sinclair started to get weepy. "He was kind of in disbelief that he was not allowed to go on with his mission," said Winn.

"Mission" is the key word: My guess is ? and it is just a guess, based on my own experiences with mission-driven kooks? Sinclair is a fanatic of Protestant persuasion who believes Gibson, woefully Catholic, is in dire need of salvation. He is concerned for the fate of Gibson's soul. Now, the question is ...

Why?
