If you think back to the late 70s and early 80s, the word "stalking" was exclusively used against men. What people used to call 'pursuing thy love interests' became basterdized. So the word stalking a hunting term, which sounds sinister to the hair-brained, became a tool that successfully became part of the American lexicon. All because Gloria Steinem and et al hated men.
