The White House is rejecting Democratic demands that Karl Rove apologize for saying liberals meekly offered "therapy" for the terrorists as a response to 9/11.
Press Secretary Scott McClellan says President Bush's top political adviser was just "telling it like it is." Rove delivered his blast a few miles from Ground Zero in New York, at a Conservative Party dinner, he said liberals sought "understanding" for the attack and Democrats called for "moderation and restraint" while President Bush saw it for what it was: a declaration of war.
McClellan says Rove wasn't getting personal, just describing different philosophies.
Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean calls Rove's remarks "divisive and damaging." Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid says Rove should apologize, or resign.
At a Senate hearing on Iraq, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton called on military leaders to "immediately repudiate" what she called "an insulting comment."

Typical! Libs can dish it out, but can't take it when it comes back on them! Maybe the GOP, Bush, et al., are getting the message -- no more Mr. Nice Guy or new tone or getting along. You can't reason with snakes -- you have to chop the head off and leave it in the road to be run over.

Just emailed Senator Reid. Below is my e-mail.
Senator Reid,
How dare you call upon Karl Rove to apologize or resign from his post for the remarks he made after you have continue to standby and defend Senator Durbin for his remarks characterizing our military as Nazis.

Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean calls Rove's remarks "divisive and damaging." Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid says Rove should apologize, or resign.)
What Mr. Rove said was nothing compared to Senator Durbins comments, and yet you have not asked for the Senator to step down from his leadership post. The Senator has yet to actually apologize and take back his remarks. The comments the Senator made along with comments from Congresswomen Pelosi put our troops in danger and give more ammunition to the terrorists. If you should be asking for anyone to resign it should be Senator Durbin and Congresswomen Pelosi for their traitorous comments, But I know that will not happen since you defended their anti-American comments.
Respectfully an American who supports our troops ,

Why are they so offended about it?? You would think they would be proud of their position. They're not offended. They just want payback for the embarrassment they suffered when Dick Durbin halfheartedly caved in.

Rove has NO NEED to apologize for speaking the truth. DEMOCRATS ARE HELPING TERRORISTS destroy this country.
That's a fact. Someone needs to make a teeshrit that says,
'DEMOCRATS FOR AL-QAEDA' Have traitorous talk, will help.....

Yes! The administration should realize that this is the aggressive stance that we want to see. Cheyney telling Levin to go @#$% himself on the floor of the Senate. Taking on the terrorists where they are, not here at home.
The treasonous dems and the msm believe that unless sadamm was convicted in a Cali court, with the aclu as defense, of supporting islamic terror and al-queda, we should not have gone to war. They insult our troops and undermine the war effort on a daily basis and I, for one, am sick of it.

At a Senate hearing on Iraq, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton called on military leaders to "immediately repudiate" what she called "an insulting comment. I missed the part where Sen. Clinton was appointed SECDEF. This woman is seriously out of touch. What does the military have to do with the comment that Rove made? Once again, she is grasping at straws, falling out of her husband's nose.

"Lastly, Rove didn't say democrats..he said liberals. Ahem!! Your slip is showing..."Yep. The 'rats just admitted what they are. Really funny after all of the effort to recast themselves as 'progressive'. What a hoot...

At a Senate hearing on Iraq, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton called on military leaders to "immediately repudiate" what she called "an insulting comment."This from one who dared to stand in the Senate waving around the New York Post with the headline "Bush Knew" shrieking "Bush KNEW?! Bush knew WHAT?" (hint hint)

I agree I'm tired of the demoralizing of our troops, the Republicans in the House and the Senate need to play a little hard ball. But, I have to say the Dems are looking awfully shrill, they are really starting to seem mindless in their obstructionism and now they are taking up the sword for the terrorists in Gitmo, they are imploding. I think Rove decided to speed it along.

Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean calls Rove's remarks "divisive and damaging." That's typical. It doesn't matter whether the remarks are TRUE or FALSE; what matters is how they affect the community.
According to liberal logic, it is OK to make a false statement as long as it makes people feel good, and it is wrong to make a true statement if it is "divisive" or otherwise hurts the feelings of someone.

I'd love to see someone ask these Democrats: "Karl Rove was referring to 'Liberals', not 'Democrats'. By virtue of the fact that you were insulted, does that mean you admit to being a 'Liberal'"?

The next step will be to publish the statements made by certain liberal groups with ties to the Democrat Party. What will they do then?
To: Donald Rumsfeld Fan
She should know this. She knows it. The answer wasn't what she was after, but the posturing by posing the "question", which she achieved.
