Latest developments in The Netherlands (Wednesday) On Tuesday NOVA interviewed Paul and Anita van der Sloot. According to the reporter they did not want to give interviews at firs, but after deliberating for a few hours they agreed to be interviewed by NOVA. Paul did not want to talk at first because he thinks that the most important thing is that Natalee Holloway is found and he is not sure that an interview with him would help with that. Paul started the interview by saying that it’s OK now to use his surname when they report about him in The Netherlands. Maybe you have noticed that in the Dutch articles Hasibokos.com has been referring don’t state the (last part of the) surnames of the suspects only the first letter. This is because the MSM media in The Netherlands never posts the surnames and exposed pictures of suspects, only the first names and the first letter in the surnames are reported. Until now in The Netherlands Paul van der Sloot has been referred to as Paul van der S. and in his pictures his eyes were covered by a black bar. According to the NOVA reporter the phone went off every minute during the interview and it was mostly American producers who wanted to arrange an interview with Paul. At the house there were also numerous cameramen outside just waiting to get a glimpse of Paul and/or Antia and this is why they rarely went outside.
The reporter noticed that Anita was wearing the ‘hope for Natalee’ bracelet and asked her why she wore the bracelet. Anita said that she has a feeling that Natalle is still alive and hopes that she will be found soon.Considering the fact that Paul worked at the justice department, the reporter asked Paul how it felt to be arrested by his own colleagues. He said that it was a very bizarre experience. The reporter asked Paul if he told Joran not to talk about the case (Beth Holloway has been criticizing Paul for that also). Paul said that he did not tell Joran not to talk, he just told him not to talk to anyone but the authorities. The reporter asked what Paul’s thoughts were with regard to Beth Holloway’s suspicion that they know more information that can lead to Natalee. Paul said that he is disappointed that he wasn’t able to convince her so far that they had nothing to do with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Paul admitted that Joran complicated things by changing his statement but he thinks that Joran had his reasons for doing that .
Paul was also asked about his influence as a judge-in-training in this case and he said that since Joran was arrested he took some time off and distanced himself from the department. The reporter asked Paul about the instructions he alleged gave to his son and the Kalpoe brothers. Paul explained that he did not instruct them, he said that he only explained the judicial procedure to them so that they knew what they could expect from the authorities. Anita and Paul fear that the interrogations are putting a tremendous pressure on Joran and they hope that he will be able to remain sane and not get weak and say what the authorities want him to say just to end the torment he’s been going through.. According to Paul it’s not purely about Natalee anymore but it has become a “media-circus” with its own agenda. Anita and Paul finished the interview by saying that they believe in Joran and stand 200% behind him.

We don't even know who is telling the complete truth, and are left to speculate what that may be. It just depends who we want to believe. That's the bottom line, and also the reason why the guilty will walk away from jail.
Like I said, we have to do better than this. Emotional outbursts and fits of rage aren't going to convict anyone.
Aruban LE could get some help, IF they would just "leak" what Joran is saying at his interrogation. But we know zip about what he is saying.
