You are right in that an honorable and honest person would not lie or leave their girl friend stranded on the beach.

Joran was NOT honest nor honorable, from all indications, so why do we expect him to act that way? Which is one of the reasons why a jilted Joran would leave ANY girl he didn't have his way with...stranded...or dead.

My commonsense conclusion says she died while in his charge. But the moral, honest law abiding person that I am, requires some more evidence before I hang him. And even his Dad sweating buckets doesn't do it for me...I'm funny that way..sw
