I just don't know if the part about PVDS being involved in the story is true? The brother changed the story, and by saying that PVDS was the ring leader for the story, he is deflecting guilt. What is so difficult about that to understand?
BTW, "sweating" profusely may be a sign of guilt, but it won't hold up in court. From the Anxiety forum.com, read this:

As you may recall, Mickey was one of the two guards who was arrested on June 5 (the three boys were arrested on June 9.) He is very upset about what happened to him and frankly I don't blame him. But slipping between his upset and the police "rush to judgment" arrest of him is some potentially important information. Mickey was housed in jail for a short time in the cell next to Deepak Kalpoe and spoke to him about Natalee Holloway. It appears Mickey has not volunteered this information to the police (he is mad at them) and the police have not been clever enough to go back and ask him (maybe an apology would help, too.)
Mickey did provide us some info that could be (not saying I am certain it would be) important to the investigation. We aired the interview (and that information) last night. Of course the information that Mickey did provide needs to be checked against his earlier statements to make sure that this is not an embellishment. Nothing should go unchecked — corroboration is powerful to make sure one is on the right track in investigating a case.

Running away with my tail between my legs is not my style and never will be but this will be my last post to a hysterical and unreasonable thread. Many have done a great job in re-defining what I have clearly stated but for clarification here is what I have said. First, I think there is significant evidence against Joran, he is probably responsible. My heart breaks for this family and their loss. My child would never give a statement to anyone until I knew the facts and then he or she would have the appropriate representation. I would never turn him over to the bereaved and frantic parents, of a victim at 3:00 in the morning without an arrest warrant, which is why I have referred to this as a posse and vigilantism. My opinion is that Jug Twitty's statements to the press have been counter-productive and self-serving. This is a quote from an interview by Greta with Jug Twitty on June 17th, the other interview discussing the 3:00 am encounter followed this several days later, which I can not find but had the same tone. I found one "we" and numerous "me," "my" and "I" in this simple paragraph. "Well, we have plenty of people down here searching. Of course, my friends have been down here searching. And you know, I'm basically relying on the Aruban police and government, and I have full confidence now. And I've been through some ups and downs. This thing is so big that, you know, I think it just caught them by surprise. And they've never had anything like this. But I've been assured, like I said, by the FBI and by the Aruban police and through updates every day that they're getting closer." So for what it is worth, FLAME ON Freepers.

Yes. Bigger fish will make you sweat. Still wondering about that murdered guy - slit throat. His 'companion' is being held. A woman would kill like that?? Is she the 'security guard' in that killing? Will take the fall because of some bigger fish want it that way?
For some reason - I think that the 'slit throat killing' may have a connection w/Natalee's disappearance. Guy saw something, approached and wanted money, or was used to get rid of body - either way, he had to be taken care of. Loose lips and all.

Latest developments in The Netherlands (Wednesday) On Tuesday NOVA interviewed Paul and Anita van der Sloot. According to the reporter they did not want to give interviews at firs, but after deliberating for a few hours they agreed to be interviewed by NOVA. Paul did not want to talk at first because he thinks that the most important thing is that Natalee Holloway is found and he is not sure that an interview with him would help with that. Paul started the interview by saying that it’s OK now to use his surname when they report about him in The Netherlands. Maybe you have noticed that in the Dutch articles Hasibokos.com has been referring don’t state the (last part of the) surnames of the suspects only the first letter. This is because the MSM media in The Netherlands never posts the surnames and exposed pictures of suspects, only the first names and the first letter in the surnames are reported. Until now in The Netherlands Paul van der Sloot has been referred to as Paul van der S. and in his pictures his eyes were covered by a black bar. According to the NOVA reporter the phone went off every minute during the interview and it was mostly American producers who wanted to arrange an interview with Paul. At the house there were also numerous cameramen outside just waiting to get a glimpse of Paul and/or Antia and this is why they rarely went outside.
The reporter noticed that Anita was wearing the ‘hope for Natalee’ bracelet and asked her why she wore the bracelet. Anita said that she has a feeling that Natalle is still alive and hopes that she will be found soon.Considering the fact that Paul worked at the justice department, the reporter asked Paul how it felt to be arrested by his own colleagues. He said that it was a very bizarre experience. The reporter asked Paul if he told Joran not to talk about the case (Beth Holloway has been criticizing Paul for that also). Paul said that he did not tell Joran not to talk, he just told him not to talk to anyone but the authorities. The reporter asked what Paul’s thoughts were with regard to Beth Holloway’s suspicion that they know more information that can lead to Natalee. Paul said that he is disappointed that he wasn’t able to convince her so far that they had nothing to do with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Paul admitted that Joran complicated things by changing his statement but he thinks that Joran had his reasons for doing that .
Paul was also asked about his influence as a judge-in-training in this case and he said that since Joran was arrested he took some time off and distanced himself from the department. The reporter asked Paul about the instructions he alleged gave to his son and the Kalpoe brothers. Paul explained that he did not instruct them, he said that he only explained the judicial procedure to them so that they knew what they could expect from the authorities. Anita and Paul fear that the interrogations are putting a tremendous pressure on Joran and they hope that he will be able to remain sane and not get weak and say what the authorities want him to say just to end the torment he’s been going through.. According to Paul it’s not purely about Natalee anymore but it has become a “media-circus” with its own agenda. Anita and Paul finished the interview by saying that they believe in Joran and stand 200% behind him.

We don't even know who is telling the complete truth, and are left to speculate what that may be. It just depends who we want to believe. That's the bottom line, and also the reason why the guilty will walk away from jail.
Like I said, we have to do better than this. Emotional outbursts and fits of rage aren't going to convict anyone.
Aruban LE could get some help, IF they would just "leak" what Joran is saying at his interrogation. But we know zip about what he is saying.

FNC said the FBI is down to one individual on the island who's acting as sort of a legal liaison, or something like that. That's not a good sign.

I know their laws and rules prohibit information to the media, but I can't help but to think they're counting on our media getting bored, packing up and leaving the island.
I hope FNC plans to keep Greta on the island a while longer.

I think this island is full of rocks. And people on the island don't want everyone to start looking at the rocks and turning them over.
That is the context in which this occurred. Joran did the deed whatever it was and his father tried to cover for him with the aid of others mostly by footdragging and not responding to the need for an investigation.
Now with the Holloways/ Twittys on the case and the press glaring and people researching, the context is coming up more and more. I am shocked the MSM hasn't discovered what Nita put together so beautifully. That is what the people on Aruba want to avoid.
And Joran will be served up like caviar on toast points by all concerned if the MSM gets into doing exposes on rocks in Aruba.
When Greta leaves I fear the case will go cold.

Yes I recall that. (After telling him "Something happened", I believe).
Although, I thought that they also said that he never did contact them online.
