I'd add illegal immigration to the list (or ball a number of issues into "Homeland Security"), but your point is well taken.

I think the poll is screwy, and there will be more time and more candidates to choose from before 2008.

This is name-recognition polling results among other things. McCain will not be the Republican nominee.

But I cannot think of ANY major politician I would want LESS to be President than Ms. Clinton . . .

You're absolutely right. McCain is nowhere near my first choice (and at this point, I don't know who is my first choice), but if it's between McCain and Hillary -- it's an easy decision.

Call it "whining" or whatever you care to, but I refuse to choose any more between the lesser of two evils-because evil is still evil. And the country would be done for, IMO, if EITHER of these two got the position. That's my stand, and I'm NEVER going to change it. Sorry.
