Kerry on striking back against terrorists:

"But if and when you do it, Jim, you have to do it in a way that passes the test, that passes the global test where your countrymen, your people understand fully why you're doing what you're doing and you can prove to the world that you did it for legitimate reasons."

Libs: WAAAAAAAAAA Somebody told me somebody called us a name!!!! I'm gonna stamp my foot and hold my breath and if that doesn't make them take it back, I will cry and yell in outrage!!

Their endless feigning of outrage is really getting OLD!!!!

The louder they scream, the more people are THINKING about what Rove said. "Let's see, the Democrats are saying our troops are Nazis....uh, no, they're not. They're saying we should show more restraint and work with the UN...I don't think so.

Rove says "The libs wanna coddle the terrorits...hmmmm..."

And it is really, really enjoyable watching HRC getting LIVID about Rove attacking liberals...while she's saying she's a moderate. :)

Why are liberals so upset? Karl Rove described them accurately as they really are. You would think they would celebrate a Republican complimenting them on their socialist philosophy. Finally they can be themselves at last. But they're mad as hell. Why? Its one of those things that leaves one befuddled about liberals - after all they're the ones always in a high dudgeon about ethics, openness, accountability and transparency. You'd think they'd welcome it here.

Rove said the Democratic Party made the mistake of calling for ``moderation and restraint'' after the terrorist attacks.

Wrong, AP! Here is what rove said:

Submitting a petition is precisely what Moveon.org did. It was a petition imploring the powers that be” to “use moderation and restraint in responding to the… terrorist attacks against the United States.”

Democrats are demanding that White House adviser Karl Rove immediately retract and apologize for comments that liberals responded to the Sept. 11 terrorist strikes by wanting to ``prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers.''

Rove should get up where all the cameras should see him, and then say:

It was inappropriate for me to say that liberals responded to the Sept. 11 terrorist strikes by wanting to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers. What I really should have said was that liberals responded to the Sept. 11 terrorist strikes by wanting to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers and also expected the American public to be stupid enough to forget that they did it.

Rove should say exactly what Turban-Durbin said:

"If anyone is offended by what I said, I'm sorry that you were offended."

But apologize for saying what he said? You've got to be kidding me.

I think Rove should put out a press release saying that if you stand up and declare yourself a liberal, he will appologize for hurting your feelings.....

Okay. . .

I regret that I had to explain that, instead of attacking the terrorists, liberals wanted to understand them. I am saddened that I was compelled to tell the public that the democrats felt the need to call for "moderation and restraint" in the aftermath of 9/11. I am sorry that, by telling the truth, I have "defamed" a great number of people.

No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals!

Liberals have been anxiously waiting nearly 4 years to slap the "politicizing 9/11" charge on a Republican.

Late to the thread, but at least the Democrats are acknowledging that they are liberals. I though Hillary was a moderate?

The Illinois Democrat has since apologized for the remarks.

Uh, no, the Illinois DemocRat said he was sorry that some people were offended by the remarks, a nuanced difference lost upon AP writers, who write with big blue crayons.

>>>``The one thing New York has had since Sept. 11 is unity,'' said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. ``To inject politics into this and to defame a large number of people'' is outrageous, he said. ``It's not what New York and America is all about.''

So Hillary couldn't get anywhere with her tempertantrum, so she starts sicing her dogs on others.

http://www.nynewsday.com/news/local/newyork/politics/ny-bc-ny--clinton-pataki0623jun23,0,5012977,print.story?coll=nyc-homepage-breaking2

Excerpt:

Clinton said Rove's remarks don't reflect the unity among New Yorkers and Americans of all political stripes after the terror attacks of 2001.

"I would call on anyone who was at that dinner who is a New Yorker who cares about the unity of not only New York City but of our country to say we may have disagreements about what the best way is to win the war against terror, but we have no disagreements about our unity and our resolve and the goals we seek," Clinton said.

In response, Pataki said Clinton hadn't voiced similar outrage over recent controversial comments from Democrats, including national chairman Howard Dean's disparaging remarks about Republicans and Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin's invocation of Nazis and Soviet gulags in a speech about the U.S. military installation at Guantanamo Bay.

I don’t understand why they are upset.

If Democrats hate to be called Liberals, and don’t want to be called Liberals, and don’t admit to being Liberals…then why are Democrats objecting to Rove talking about Liberals? Are they agreeing that they are Liberals now? Which way is it fellows? Inquiring minds want to know.

Maybe we should ask Kerry to clarify this up. He knows the difference I am sure, he has been both/all/one/none of the above.
