Facism just went from baby steps to walking on its own, this will boom as Wal-mart and other corps now play small towns against one another and each town rushes to seize prime property from rightful owners. The SCOTUS should be renamed the High Court of Zimbabwe. Its what we get for worshipping economic growth, and we have become little more then well fed cattle on government approved housing development.

AMEN. Let me expand on this a bit....amd make an analogy with the oft quoted refrain regarding freedom and security.


My analogy is that if you have to sacrifice constitutional principles and the rule of law for prosperity (economic development)...eventually you will end up with neither.

Imagine if you own waterfront property. That may be the perfect site for a new resort hotel. Too bad. Your little house has to go for progress, doncha know?

Bought some wooded land for hunting and camping? Too bad, a nice little company connected to the mayor wants it for a new development. It'll increrase the tax base. We are so screwed with this.
