Cruise "Tried To Convert Johansson"
Internet Movie Database ^ | 6-21-05

Posted on 06/21/2005 7:37:16 PM PDT by Paul Atreides

Scarlett Johansson pulled out of appearing in the second Mission: Impossible sequel after Tom Cruise tried to convert her to scientology, according to reports. Cruise, who produces the action adventures, met with Johansson ahead of casting for the upcoming Mission: Impossible 3 and took her to one of the controversial religion's headquarters, claims Radarmagazine.Com. A source tells the website, "After two hours of proselytizing, Cruise opened a door to reveal a second room full of upper-level Scientologists who had been waiting to dine with the pair, at which point the cool-headed ingénue politely excused herself." Officially Johansson quit the film because of scheduling conflicts after the film was delayed so Cruise could make War Of The Worlds.

After several hundred thou you get a sea pass and a ride on the black yacht. At level 7, if you're too dense to have figured it out for yourself, you're told-- ta daa!-- that LRH is God

Well weren't there rumors that she was pregnant? Old Tom wasn't performing probably and got a tad upset.

LOL. And a goddess, too.

Cruise is a good, but dense actor whose stage name reveals the secret to his early success.

But I tend to agree with him about the dangers of Ritalin and the inappropriate remarks made by Ms. Shields as to her wanting to murder her newborn child and jump out a window.

Medicating problems into somnambulance isn't the answer. And Shields did a disservice to all women by implying her insane reaction is commonplace and a natural result of childbirth.

Can you imagine the hullabaloo though, if a Christian star, set up a Christianity tent on a movie set and encouraged, or subtly ordered, everyone inside? Conversely, knowing L.A. like I do, no one complains about the drugs on a set.

Yeah, I think that tent was a big part of Cruise's tumble. Already I hear Spielberg blaming Cruise for all the negative publicity, just in case "War of the Worlds" bombs.

And an explicit Christian wouldn't get the chance to set up a tent. He wouldn't be hired in the first place.

The only people allowed to say "Jesus Christ" in Hollywood are black football players passing through town.

As I stand here before you today, the Laker girls cheerleading squad needs to be taken down a peg or two.

Bad movie. She looked great, but when the co-star is David Caruso . . . well, it's gonna suck.

Just my two-cents, but maybe the only way Cruise can get a woman is to brainwash her with his scientology nonsense, and it only works on the weak-minded ones. Nicole, Penelope and Scarlett got wise to it, but poor little Katie wasn't strong enough (or maybe just starstruck) and fell victim to it.
