Scarlett Johansson pulled out of appearing in the second Mission: Impossible sequel after Tom Cruise tried to convert her to scientology, according to reports. Cruise, who produces the action adventures, met with Johansson ahead of casting for the upcoming Mission: Impossible 3 and took her to one of the controversial religion's headquarters, claims Radarmagazine.Com. A source tells the website, "After two hours of proselytizing, Cruise opened a door to reveal a second room full of upper-level Scientologists who had been waiting to dine with the pair, at which point the cool-headed ingénue politely excused herself." Officially Johansson quit the film because of scheduling conflicts after the film was delayed so Cruise could make War Of The Worlds.

How quickly everyone here forgets Ms. Scarlett doing a TV ad for John Kerry... ;) Well, let's just say she's not as much of a dingbat as Cruise and Holmes and all the other Hollywood Scientologists. Man! is that a bunch of kooks!

Bewitched is fluff to pay the bills.
Don't blame her blame LA script "writers" who are cannibalizing '60s sitcoms and French pop films because they have no original ideas.
Hollyweird is run by hucksters and accountants.
Check out Dogville it will set your hair on end.

Tom does seem more desparate and assertive and aggressive in proclaiming is love of scientology, he's telling us how happy he is and how wonderful it makes him feel, yet his eyes look angry and desparate and unsmiling and he's shouting all this to us. He seems ready to blow. Maybe his sister is one of those higher ups who are trying to keep him from going over the edge and she pushed herself in as the new pr person, not Tom. He's losing it. I feel sorry for his kids, because I don't think Nicole has control over their exposure to the scientology...

I knew this one had a head on her shoulders. Now, if Tommy Boy ever tried to convert (The Last Seduction's) Linda Fiorentino, he'd be a dead man.Did you happen to catch her in Jade?

Obviously Moonbat overload.. makes you re-think your options..
A roomfull of Moonbats "eating", produces a lot of guano..
Smart girl.. Oh! to see the look she gave Cruise would be precious..
As she turned on her heels and gave him the Curly(Howard) salute.. and did the Curly shuffle out of there.

I don't know if I agree. It seems as if his handlers took steps to make sure this one would last. None of his other recent beards girlfriends/wives - Penelope Cruz, Nicole, even Johansson (though not a gf) - were 'converted' prior to announcing that they were a couple. It's going to be hard for Katie to leave, should she want to, because Tom or his handlers are trying to make this one a 'lock'. He's desparate and he's playing for keeps. Good luck, Katie.

It's worth noting that Affleck is a big Dim supporter. Affleck is the one who was hanging out with the blonde Kerry daughter during the election runup.

I wonder how much of him was hanging out. For that matter, I wonder how much of her was, too.
