I heard a sound clip of Daley's comments, and he sounded highly cheesed-off about what Durbin said.

Isn't it a bad thing to piss off a Daley if you're a Democrat in Illinois?

Did you hear him pounding his fist on the podium?
His voice got so high and squeaky only dogs could hear him.

It's not considered a career-enhancing move.

Call or email your Senators and Senator Frist and ask for them to sponsor a censure resolution against Durbin. I did.

Daley's son just enlisted not too long ago.....I imagine this is why he's mad.

It's a start. And yet, the Simon Wiesenthal Center finds Senator Durbin's comments acceptable.

I'm proud as can be to have a child who volunteered to serve, and when some politician (a worthless Senator no less) compares him to a Buchenwald or Lubyanka goon, I get mad as hell. It doesn't matter if the pol is a Democrat, a Republican or one of the also-rans.

Maybe Daley feels the same.

Yes, it sounded like his voice was almost about to break.

Whether he was sincere or not is another question.

The GOP should move to censure or expel this guy.

It doesn't matter if we have the votes or not. We need a public debate on the current Dem tactic of undermining our national security for their political interests.

GOP= patriots and anti-terrorism versus DEM= appeasers, and weakening our efforts against terrorism. Hammer it home at every opportunity, and in an official public forum. DEMS ARE INVITING ANOTHER TERRORIST ATTACKS BY THEIR IRRESPONSIBLE RHETORIC.

It's the right thing to do for the country- and it is also the politically smart thing to do.

Thanks for this information -- until I read this I didn't know that Daley (or any Democrat) had called on Durbin to apologize. I think this is a bad sign for Durbin.

If Daley would have made his comments much earlier, Durbin would no doubt have offered a 'genuine' apology immediately. If that had happened , no furor, no unwinding of the dummy party.

Daley finally saw the darkness at the end of the tunnel, but alas, too late. The lone candle lighting the way of the 'rats has been extinguished.

From now on, it's going to be 'bump, scurry, bump, scurry.'

I have been wondering when Daley would be asked about this and that he would not take DDs insanity with good humor.

This is just a Daley tactic to deflect the deep Sh*t he's in with all the scandals and guilty pleas in his administration. Whatever it takes to smokescreen.
