Israel: No More Restraint Toward Militants
Yahoo! News ^ | AP

JERUSALEM - The Israeli military will no longer exercise restraint with regard to Islamic Jihad militants because their attacks demonstrate they do not consider themselves bound by a truce agreement, a senior army officer said Tuesday.

Israel arrested 52 Islamic Jihad activists overnight in its first big crackdown against militants since a February cease-fire. The sweep followed a rash of deadly attacks by the group on Israeli targets in recent days.

"Islamic Jihad has taken itself absolutely out of the (cease-fire) agreement with its attacks, and so from our view, we are operating fully against them, as we did before," said Lt. Col. Erez Winner, a senior commander in the West Bank. "Anyone we know who is affiliated with this organization is a legitimate target."

Here we go again.

Those Jews in Gaza are being torn from their homes for no reason - the PA is either unwilling or incapable of restraining terror.

Israel should be killing 9,000 terrorists, not expelling 9,000 Jews from their homes.

Israel arrested 52 Islamic Jihad activists

They will be set loose as part of the next "goodwill" gesture.

Just kill them already.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel ping list.

WARNING: This is a high volume ping list

52 arrests, apparently no resistance. My guess they know that.

Guess what story was all over the newspaper today, how Israel is tearing down "illegal" homes and apartments in Jerusalem.

Illegal means those built without permits granted by the government. All of those are mostly occupied by Palestinian Israeli Citizens, who, according to the article (written in the usual Israel is mean and extremely cruel to Arabs)built their homes without getting the approval required by the city government of Jerusalem. Until now, they were left alone but Jerusalem has plans to refurbish the "City of David" Park and presumably build homes and apartments surrounding this historic Park.

One can only assume that Israeli's who were or are forced to give up their homes in the West Bank and Gaza, etc. will be relocated inside Israeli sovereign land (regardless of how many Palestinian families have dwelt their treating the land as their own.

My thinking is that the Israeli government has tired of the rotten Peace Process that has only meant violence and death to it's citizens, will forcibly bring them back inside it's recognized boundaries, finish the fence/wall and let the Palestinians do have whatever kind of government and life that they choose for themselves.

Yes, it will probably descend into chaos for a while after the Palestinians elect the most extreme leaders who still chant "Death to Israel, Death to America" but without any other programs save violence, sooner or later a number of courageous leaders will step up to the job.

I certainly hope Israel will unilateraly draw borders. But it's fair to note that there are no recognized boundaries when it comes to Israel, only truce lines. Even the administration refers to the 1949 truce lines as the limit of Israel's legitimate claims.

built their homes without getting the approval required by the city government of Jerusalem.

Built illegally on land they do not own, and without the required building safety code, sanitation, etc. Squatter's shacks.

Everything, as we well know, that's happening in the Middle east is being orchestrated by a "Higher Power" (no, not George Bush). I find it interesting that just when you think the situation becomes hopeless that Israel will have to give up terriTory and endanger their citizens, something seems to happen to change things. ("And G-d hardened Pharaoh's heart and he would not let the people go").
We must use our ultimate "weapon", Tefilloh - prayer - and exercise it liberally and enlist the help of the A-Mighty
to prevent this impending disaster from occurring, whichever way possible.

Israel's back is up against the wall. The higher oil goes the more crazy the Muslim Arabs become. Iran is getting nukes. Divine intervention will come. It's the only way out for Israel and Jerusalem the center of Israel and The Temple which is center of Jerusalem.

The only thing is we must not "rely" on Divine intervention,
but must do good deeds and pray in order to help bring them about.( Ein Somchin Al Haness.)

The oil price and Muslim behavior, IMO, aren't connected. Muslim behavior is consistent, the price of oil fluctuates.
