Congressman Curt Weldon, Republican, was scheduled to appear on "The Factor with Bill O'Reilly" after the bottom of the hour.
O'Reilly announced that he was not there, had not called as to why he wouldn't be there, and his staff was not answering their phones.
O'Reilly said he was only the second person in nine years to be a no-show. And, Weldon was booked at HIS REQUEST!
As a result, Weldon was banned from "The Factor" for life.
The topic for Weldon's appearance was to have been Terrorism and the treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo.
I haven't watched O'Reilly in years. I don't think there was ever five seconds of withdrawal. I wouldn't have watched if Weldon had appeared.
O'Reilly? He's an idiot who seems to be making up his bloviated opinions as he goes along, doesn't have the patience to even know what his guests are saying, is a sex pervert who got bailed out with big $$ by Fox, is no conservative who totally dissed the Swiftvets .... Need any more?
He's also put on about 40 pounds. Vittles must be good in those terrorist haunts.
Weldon has made a huuuuuughhhhhhh mistake. This is surely going into his permanent record.
No. Your opinion is duly noted.
"Congressman Weldon, you're on Double-Secret Probation!"
He was also quite horrible to Patricia Roush after his little stunt with the Fraudi flacks and her daughters blew up in his face. He was a rude jerk to William McGurn of the WSJ who was reporting on the whole story and Dan Burton's congressional hearings too.
I'm rather glad to hear this, especially with regard to Weldon's unsupported assertions about intelligence matters.
I'd be curious to hear the explanation. It's irresponsible and immature to be a no-show for a firm commitment absent an unexpected catastrophe which would excuse not even calling to explain.
Don't be too hard on Bill, he's trying as hard as he can. He is definitely trying for most pompous.
In my opinion, O'Reilly is truly fair and balanced. So what if he is not 100% conservative? And I don't know what to think about his harassment lawsuit, but on the show he seem normal, and that's what I watch. Sometimes you gotta be rude when a guest is feeding you lies. I stand by O'Reilly.
Maybe he got carried off by a twister.
That'll learn 'im. I'd not send him a copy of "Who's Looking Out For You?" and I wouldn't let him buy any Factor Gear either.
But that's me. Mr. Hardnosed.
Dog Gone, I agree but O'Reilly shouldn't ban the guy until he knows the story. What if it turns out Weldon had a family emergency or something? I'm sure Weldon would have preferred to have his office cancel in advance, unless there's a fight going on with O'Reilly we don't know about.
Yes, I go to sleep every night knowing O'Reilly will protect me (the little people) from the big bad powerful people
He is an asshat who thinks of himself as above the fray
O'Reily is a pompous windbag
In my opinion, O'Reilly is truly fair and balanced.

Be serious here. Maybe in your opinion his show is fair and balance. He is certainly an unbalance meglomaniac.
O'Reilly's not very well-liked around here, but he is widely watched. He's also unmerciful to people who won't come on his show (Hillary, Gore, Kerry), or who stand him up (the other person was Danny Glover).
I agree, if you mean he makes equally stupid pronouncements that both liberals and conservatives can agree he's nuts.
