Because it means the media et al will finally let this woman rest instead of using her to further their own agendas. I don't believe 1/100 of the people who claimed to care about her wellbeing actually did so.

It doesn't work that way at all. Resistance to clicking is not a factor.
You see, every one of the people who complain that these threads exist at all have someone standing behind them with a loaded .357 saying, "click on that thread, and participate, or else!". This is little known and semi-secret, but it's the actual explanation.
I forgive their behavior because they're posting under such extreme duress.
