And, most of all, I really wish that the personal attacks (calling posters "Death Cultists" and "Terribots", making fun of one's appearance, infantile drawings, etc.) would cease and desist because they only make the poster look ugly and hateful...

I agree. And don't forget the false accusations that someone has made fun of someone's appearance or misinterpret the meaning of a picture.

Many of us have long maintained a high level of discourse and you'll need to understand that when this topic hit the main forum a few months ago in a major way it changed the aura of this site and some of us have been fighting for facts and reason to regain the dominant voice.

It sounds like this is the path you seek, as well, so I hope you can help to that end.

I don't know if he called his brother first, but apparently he waited a good hour before calling 911. But even if the timeline was not that way and Michael Schiavo actually called 911 right away, it isn't clear why a healthy young woman like Terri would just collapse like that. Michael's claim that Terri was bulimic and that's what caused the collapse was shot down by the autopsy performed by his hand-picked MA.

Do not even know what your position is. But, I do know that a lot of folks let emotions rule on this specific matter. You gotta be disciplined in your thinking and argument and, sometimes just turn off the computer and reflect on what basic principles you hold dear.

If you hold dear the Declaration principles that governments are instituted to insure the right to life, among others, for each citizen, then you will think one way.

You can go in a different direction and allow case law and SCOTUS color you thinking. (Since Rove v Wade outlawed states' rights to regulate abortion, that must be OK, and I will fit my thinking to that.)

Get your presuppositions and bedrock principles nailed down.

I know that happened, but I think I just walked away from the keys. Because, I know no details of what famous and venerable Freepers got their knickers in a twist. I have maybe five folks on the board who I communicate with, regularly and privately; all those are over sports and food. The political and religious stuff is too risky.

Agreed, this is about the only instance of kindness towards her family that I've seen. Of course, it might just have been easier than him driving the remains north!
