As time approached Natalee's mom told Greta she couldn't make the appointment with the Sloots. Odd considering that she presed them so hard for this appointment and ACCESS the day before.

If I heard it correctly  Natalee's mom couldn't make the appointment because she had another important meeting to attend

Then why didn't she cancel in a timely manner? Why didn't she even tell Greta til the last minute? That wasn't even fair to Greta. Like I said, time will tell if her other appointment was a better use of her time. I think the other appointment was 'to conrinue her search', which yes is a better use of her time, BUT that means she deliberately forced an appointment on the Sloots just to break it. JMO

She was also greeting the new people coming in to help search for Natalee. They are arriving daily and she thinks someone from the family should greet them.
