The information about Natalee being drunk in this post (Thanks for the paragraph formatting, I read the first and it was very difficult) is also confusing. The person (Deepak? we are to believe) states Natalee was drunk at the Casino, and drunk in the car, and fell asleep. Then drunk enough to stumble and fall at the hotel. That is his story.
In the post from Dash's mother (# 1015) she and her daughter talked about Natalee and she wrote :
”…maybe relishing the scenery on their last night, you know -- and, having been drinking, might have fallen in. Or gone for a last swim.” This seems to be eluding to Natalee being drunk.
In another post (#1083) This same mother said about Natalee: This information has been consistent from the beginning, including the reasons my daughter said Natalee did not appear to be falling-down drunk. This was presented as an eyewitness statement, not as any sort of defense.
So, was it that she was drunk, but not “falling-down” drunk in their opinion?
Maybe she was not falling down around her friends, but later she was with Joran and his friends. (You know, after too much alcohol started to have an effect.)
Then on FOX (I forget whose show tonite, they all have something about this story) there were two girls from the group who were interviewed tonight. I thought they said that Natalee was not drinking, and not drunk. One emphasized that Carlos and Charlie’s was very strict about not letting kids under age drink. (Now I am forgetting, is Natalee 17 or 18???)
Anyway…there seems to be a big difference about what all are saying about Natalee and the drinking, (one girl telling her mother maybe she fell off a pier because she had been drinking…later this same girl saying - not “falling down” drunk) and the statement in what this supposed email from Deepak that says - Natalee was drunk in the Casino, fell asleep, fell down getting out of the car, etc. Who is covering up for whom??? The teens for Natalee and, perhaps, themselves? (out of guilt for breaking the "contract," etc.) The boys for themselves and Joran? Everyone? And what the heck does Croes have to do with any of this?
And then, of course, all of us wondering if something was slipped in one of her drinks, some drug? And how is Daddy VDS involved? Covering for his son, Joran, or something bigger that involves Croes, and his other (illegtimate) son, Lorenzo, Joran's half-brother?
This is like reading "War and Peace," where I had to keep writing down all the characters names to keep everyone straight and how they figured into the story!

Sunday (During the day)
Natalee and Joran are at the HI casino, Natalee asks Joran to win some of her money back. He won a $100.00 dollars back for her and she offered to buy him a drink. They have a drink and she tells Joran that this is her last night in Aruba and that she will be at Charlie's & Carlo's Bar later that evening. (Deepak was not there so this must be what Joran told him)
Joran calls Deepak at work - Deepak gets off work at 10pm Sunday Night- Deepak goes home takes a bath and fixes something (dinner or repairs something?) - Deepak and Satish leave their house a 12:10am Monday morning to pick up Joran. (We now hear that Joran snuck out), they left Joran's home at 12:25am Monday and headed for Charlies & Carlos Bar, they arrive a C&C Bar at about 12:30am. C&C Bars closes at 1:00am Monday
Deepak waited in the car for about 10 minutes (I assume this was around 1:00am Monday, while everyone was clearing out of the bar) Satish, Joran and Natalee get into Deepak car and they drive off. They head to the lighthouse and they just drive around until 2:15am when Deepak says they took her back to the HI Hotel. So that gives them a solid hour and possibly 1 hour and 15 minutes, if they took her back to the HI Hotel (we now hear the story is changing).
Sunday at 12:30am was the first time Deepak met Natalee (so he says) and he "thinks" that Sunday during the day was the first time "Joran" met Natalie, but video cameras plus witnesses prove that Joran met Natalee at least 2 days before Sunday night arrived.
