duct tape can be used for alot of things including windsufing and that would explain why it would be handy in ones car..

YEah, I always keep a roll of duct tape, a roll of plastic sheeting, a shovel, some knives, and a saws-all in my white panel van. Oh, and some prophylactics (gloves and condoms). You never know when they'll come in handy.

Dear Lord!

I just realized that I currently have the following in my van:
assorted knives, screwdrivers. A mini-Hack Saw. Duct tape, electrical tape, speaker wire, bailing wire, Twine. McDonalds cups with dangerous substances. towels splattered in red rubbing compound. numerous metal objects in various stages of decay.

If a cop pulled me over he'd think I was a serial killer.
Then again, with a VW Bus from the 70's, these items are most likely essential engine/body components so he'd let me off
