Yes. But as usual, McCain tempers his remarks by first saying something negative about the Bush administration. He can't just come out with a statement refuting Durbin.

Direct quote:
"Some of these guys are terrible, terrible killers and the worst kind of scum of humanity,'' the Arizona senator said on NBC News' "Meet the Press" of the 520 men from dozens of nations who have been swept up around the globe in the war on terror.
But, "they deserve to have some adjudication of their cases,'' he said, despite a "fear that, if you release them, they'll go back and fight against us. Balance that against what it's doing to our reputation throughout the world and whether it's enhancing recruiting for people to join al-Qaida and do bad things to the United States of America.''

Well I doubt this surprises you any more than it does me.
McCain has gone over to the dark side and I've come to accept it.
His comment that we should release some of the terrorists even if they wind up killing more Americans should make it crystal clear that when it comes to moral values, John is an empty suit.

Oh yeah John, now if a US Soldier or Marine is captured, the Islamobaddies will treat him poorly because of our behavior in Gitmo.
Maybe they'll turn the air conditioner on HIGH and leave him without his socks.
What a moron. You can always count on this asshat to disappoint.

Should the rank and file GOP be so stupid and actually nominate this asshole, he will qucikly find out how the Media will turn on him.
When push comes to shove, the Media will always side with the leftiest leftist, and with Hillary, it will be no different.
