Gitmo remark makes Durbin easy prey
The Chicago Sun Times ^ | June 19, 2005 | Lynn Sweet, WASHINGTON BUREAU CHEIFS (sic)

'There's an old rule in politics, and I've seen it many times," said retired Gen. Wesley Clark on Thursday night, as he brushed aside Fox News talker Sean Hannity's demand for him to condemn Sen. Dick Durbin. "Whoever uses the 'Nazi' word first loses," said Clark, the former Democratic presidential candidate who is a political analyst for Fox.

"yes, and why the U.S. has trouble providing armored plates for Jeeps in combat"

Another one of Dickhead Durbin's great accomplishments: making sure that all of the enemy knew that these vehicles would be a good target for them.

"I cringe whenever someone -- no matter how well-meaning -- describes some offensive person as a Hitler or accuses someone of being a Nazi. No behavior, I pray, should ever again rise to that level." I think that beheading people comes fairly close.

Actually, it doesn't.

No, allow me to correct you. Senator Turbans' own words make him easy prey. If he would not have given aid and comfort to the enemy, he would not be in this predicament.

I love the headline! It makes it sound as though his remarks are not the responsibility of Durbin. Did some alien take over his body and spout such hate? I don't think so; he was just expressing the hatred that he and his party have for our country and President. Treasonable.

Gitmo remark makes Durbin easy prey

Call it political Darwinism, but methinks it's time to thin the herd.

I knew what General Motormouth Clark would say, before Hannity even asked the question. I would have switched channels if the remote had not been temporarily misplaced.

Durbin may be easy prey, but he is also on the endangered species list. He can only be bagged by the dems and the MSM to cover his a$$. And since we now know that he is a$$ all over, he must be bagged or burkad, from head to toe.

"If it is Dick Durbin in trouble, then something is wrong. They are so good at changing the subject," said Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).

(So Durbin's "in trouble" because the Republicans are using him as a smoke screen against their own problems. )

Durbin's analogy, as clumsy as it was, is not where the focus should stay. How the U.S. treats prisoners, how the U.S. is conducting the Iraq war, how the U.S. wins more allies, how the U.S. improves relations with Muslim countries -- yes, and why the U.S. has trouble providing armored plates for Jeeps in combat -- one of Durbin's crusades -- that's what is important.

Lynn Sweet, the author is a huge lib. That's a fact. Cong. Jan Schakowsky, D-IL, is a far-leftist, and to my knowledge has never gotten a bill into law. Jan's husband, Roger Creamer, is under indictment for check kiting while he was head of a "pro-Consumer" group, the Illinois Public Action Council. Jan, although she was on the IPAC board of direction while Roger was doing a "Ben Franklin" with the checks. Roger's case goes to trial this fall. Too bad Roger didn't get electrocuted.

Lynn somehow forgot to put those details into the article.

And it was an apt analogy. That notwithstanding, any reference to Hitler or Nazis is ill-advised.

Yes, when I saw that I cringed.

It's also doubtful that Santorum's remarks endangered our troops.

Durbin's statement was deliberately made to embarrass our President and hurt the US effort in winning the WOT.

That's the best explanation I've heard so far regarding those two issues.

Institutionalized hatred of American service members by Democrat party leaders and the MSM is a critical issue in America's effort in the WOT.

Said Obama, "This administration has made a habit of diverting attention of its failures by criticizing the messenger."

Perhaps Mr. Obama should look up the meaning of the word MESSENGER as it is described in the dictionary as follows:

"one who bears a message or does an errand: as a : archaic : FORERUNNER, HERALD b : a dispatch bearer in government or military service c : an employee who carries messages."

If the dictionary is correct then my question to Mr. Obama is this: "Who was the person or persons that durbin was doing this messaging for?"
