Well it's his personal web site, what about freedom of speech. I am sure the ACLU is rushing to his defence. If you can have Christian icons covered in animal dung in NYC museums, and that is called art.

[a Web contest called "Create a Pig With the Koran." The contest involves using pages from the Muslim holy book to create papier-maché pigs]

You hear all the time about some "artist" or other who suspends a Crucifix in urine, writes Jesus' name in dung, etc. and more often than not, this "art" is taxpayer funded. And there is no outrage about "separation of church and state" when Christian symbols are profaned in government-funded "art" projects. Anyone who is offended is portrayed as an ignorant rube who does not appreciate fine art. But let someone disrespect Islam, and the mainstream media will breathlessly report it like it is the crime of the century.
I chuckled about this Koran-pig "art" and then felt a little guilty for being amused but then I remembered the double standards that everyone is supposed to accept while pretending that no double standards exist. I do not think it is very smart to throw gasoline on the fire but I also understand how someone who is fed up with the double standards might just do that. You know that this "art" will be used as an excuse for another homicide bombing or beheading and some liberal secularist Democrat politician will declare that defacing a Koran is the worst crime against humanity since the Holocaust, etc. ad nauseum.

For those contestants in need of artistic inspiration:

You can read about the artist, Tatiana Soskin, here. At the bottom of that web page is the following account of how Black Jack Pershing dealt with these terrorists in 1911 in the Philippines:
The story - some call it an urban legend - is told of the American General John "Black Jack" Pershing who was in charge of a U.S. garrison in the Philippines in 1911. Responding to numerous terror attacks by Muslims, Pershing ordered the perpetrators caught, tried and, all except one of them, executed by firing squad. After making them dig their own graves, the soldiers tied them to the execution posts, then slaughtered a number of pigs in front of them, rubbing the bullets they would use to shoot the terrorists in swine blood and fat. As the legend goes, this terrorized the terrorists, whose Islamic faith taught them that if pigs contaminated their bodies they would go to hell instead of as martyrs to paradise.
Their corpses were buried under the pigs' remains, and the one terrorist who had not been killed was released to tell his fellow mujahedin what he had seen. For the next 50 years, Islamic terrorism was unheard of in those islands.
Was "Black Jack" Pershing the subject of a damning commission of inquiry? Was he disciplined, dismissed?
No, the president apparently promoted him for crushing the terrorist threat.

There is an error here. Instead of using water he should have used urine. It's a processed blood by-product that is antiseptic. Give this guy a six-pack of beer and a fresh koran to work with.
