Randall Terry was not the Schindlers lawyer, Gibbs was. Get your facts straight!
Exactly, cause if he wasn't nervous he wouldn't have responded!
I recalled your names from previous threads I had posted and commented, we have disagreed in the past may in the future but here are a few thoughts.
I think I made my thoughts known that frankly the parents should have been able to care for their daughter but as I have maintained the husband had the right to make the decision. She chose this guy as her life partner, he evidently got lonely and found comfort of another, which deems him a cad but still with the right to honor Terri's wishes.
Back seat quarterbacking at it's best, if I were him, I would have allowed them to care for Terri until her death. He did not wish to do that and I suppose we will not know until we meet Terri in heaven.
What was disturbing, for months, the blame game and the abuse game that evidently was put to rest through the release of the autopsy. There was NO abuse, parents have been sent to prison with the reading of an X RAY showing the abuse of broken limbs, so I do trust the judgement of the doctor in the Schiavo case.
STILL from the snippets I have seen those supporting the parents seem to think there is some cover up and he did hurt his wife. blah, blah, blah .... . Michael's lawyer has also chimed in on the said results.
Minds would not change. I guess perhaps my thought that even when the results came in those who felt he did do something their minds would not change. But, and I do mean this, had he been involved in her fate many years ago I would helped make sure justice was done.
Why cannot folks say, we DO NOT LIKE THE LAWS. Change them so that if another end's in this fate that we will not have to go through a long a protracted national discussion. While informative it really turned into a "*issing contest*.
** make sure you have a living will, do not trust your spouse, put it in writing and inform all concerned.
**Take up with your legislators the way a person can end their life. Not talking about medical suicide, but if there should be the right like we treat our beloved pet's the way to end life.
I have no doubt there are other important suggestions but those were a few.
I do not wish to pick a fight with anyone, one has to wonder what would Terri have wanted.
In the end, she is at peace I only hope now her parents can find the same peace and their handler's stay out of the limelight.
If that tells you all you need to know, then your judgements are both superficial and worthless.
So far no one has stepped forward to prove it. That's what wrong with this whole argument. Too many outsiders pointing fingers of blame and nothing to show for the effort.
IMHO it was a botched murder attempt and he didn't know what to do when it failed so there is where this whole story took off. Its even possible he didn't intend to kill her but in a fit of anger, lost control and when he saw what he had done, he began to lie to cover it up.
June 28th... Thanks!
Great point! I wish I had a dollar for everytime I have had to correct this statement.
My brother had to have surgery removing part of his jawbone, his tonge and voicebox. He could no longer swallow so had to be on a tube feeder but he still drove, went fishing, and lived a normal life. However, he would have died without the tube feeding. So technically, he was being kept alive by "artificial means" so what it all boils down to is that my brother had a normal mind so he deserved to be kept alive but Terri was mentally challenged (and I really even wonder about this.) so therefore Terri deserved to die. That seems to be the general consesus.
You dang right we do.
-If you believe in the sanctity of life and that we are not given the right by God to kill - you do not make the decisions of when a person died. You wait until the breathing and heart stops and the body cannot be resuscitated
-If you do not accept that man has no business in the instigating death business, then you allow ALL MEN to be in control of whether you live or die. Do you really want corruption, greed, anger, hate, personal disregard for others making those decisions over you and your family?
-Experts have said after the autopsy that PVS can not be determined by all these tests and therefore they do not even know for sure Terri was PVS. It is an undeterminable state that is often wrong - so why kill over it?
-We have seen time and again people of no hope suddenly waking up. We have seen over and over that doctors are not 100% right.
Man does not have the right to instigate death in a non-dying person. We are seeing the dangers of men making these "life or not" decisions right here because "suddenly" we are talking about killing a non-dying woman when that has not been done before.
You know full well - the right to make "criteria" of when a person is dead will be abused because usually the people wanting to have that right want to use it for a reason.
And I do not intend to give them that right in the first place.
This just makes me madder. The nerve of Jeb Bush!!! He must be feeling the heat and now he's trying to appease us. I can't believe it.
He's doing this to help Charlie Crist run for governor. Crist was in a coverup from day one. He can't possibly win next year if Michael Schiavo isn't cleared because Crist is Florida's AG, chief law enforcement officer. Crist was derelict in his duty to investigate the corruption in Pinellas County, Crist's home county.
They are just play acting. It won't cost much.
I think much of the debate was pure speculation-fuelled by differing viewpoints ( to put it charitably !)
I know I would not want my life prolonged artificially.
Thankfully, when my time comes, I will probably go out with a bang-dead before I hit the floor.
Terri's brother Bobby lived at the same apt. complex as Terri and HINO. I;ve seen the complex they lived at at night. How could HINO kill her when Bobby was close by to begin with? And, it was an apartment complex, not out in the woods.
Thank you Jeb Bush. I look forward to supporting you in '08.
Dr. Cheshire of the Mayo Clinic said that Terri was not PVS. The Schindlers are asking Dr. Cheshire to review the autopsy results and give an update on his opinion made prior when he examined Terri before she was murdered by the state of Fla.
Another example of the people leading and the leaders following!
OJ trial or not, I love Mark Fuhrman and the work he does. Go Mark!!
