John Adams was great. I never fail to be amazed at just how much these men sacrificed or just how slim was the victory.

Happy Reading!

"The Life and Religion of Mohammed" the prophet of arabia by Rev. J.L. Menezes. Originally published in 1912. Reissued by Roman Catholic Books.

An amazing account considering the time it was written. Offers a lot of history about Mohammed that has been "sanitized" by historians. I'm learning a lot about how the cult of Mohammed was started and how it was spread. Something I didn't realize is that the "rock" was there and worshiped by pagan religions long long before Mohammed's time. He co-opted the rock for himself.

I've also read Appalachia, which is a trilogy by three authoresses. Clean fiction.

I was fortunate enough to live just south of Boston years ago and visit the Quincy Plantation, the two homesteads in Quincy that sit side by side and other points of history. Having seen the houses - the relating in the book have real meaning. John Adams was the real hero of our independence. IMHO.
