Other than being chained, this was pretty much what my life was like for the three years I lived aboard ship when I was in the Navy. And no orange-glazed chicken for me!
Air Conditioning?? When I was in the military, serving in Louisiana in August with full equipment, we didn't have air conditioning either, not to mention all the soldiers in the gulf deserts right now. Ridiculous.
Very good.
a chill wind doth blow between his ears..
If nothing else, one thing has been confirmed to me from this rant - rap music is bad.
As Rush said yesterday on his radio show, we should all be calling Dick's office and thanking him for his utterances, and continue making them as they best demonstrate the depravity of this man and his party.
Please forward this to all media outlets and durbin himself.
Al-Jazeera is now reporting:
"US Senator stands by Nazi remarks".
He is a traitor. He says he supports our troops but this is how he treats them??? He is also a liar!!
Turban Durbin.

Warning: Graphic images follow.
The picture below is of a prisoner at the Abu Ghraib prison being tortured by dripping nitric acid on him. This was a matter of routine under the Saddam Hussein regime. Tens of thousands were subject to similar torture methods.

Why does this remind me of the following?
"They told stories that, at times, they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Ghengis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam..."
>" the air conditioner had been turned off, making the temperature in the unventilated room well over 100 degrees..."
Geez. My employer (a community college) in the San Fernando Valley (southern CA) only recently installed A/C. For years, I brought a thermometer to class during summer semesters -- and we (the students & I) marvel at the 100+ temps in the classroom, as we persevered and pushed on, with the lesson.
My classes were difficult -- but I'm no Pol Pot!!!!
The democrats are digging their own mass grave.
Why don't the Dems bother asking about the CIRCUMSTANCES under which some of these "detainees" were captured -- for example, many were captured in battle, committing blatant violations of the Geneva Convention -
Dressing as pregnant women (with bombs attached), attempting to detonate near our troops (wearing civilian clothes is a violation of the Geneva Convention BTW - making them ILLEGAL COMBATANTS in this case);
Waving a White flag, -- and then raising a weapon and shooting as our Troops approach (ANOTHER GC violation), etc.
Because NO UNIFORMS ARE WORN by terrorist insurgents, nor can they provide an actual rank & serial number -- this means it is IMPOSSIBLE to return them to their countries. Since they'd eventually RETURN to the battlefield, they would be UNTRACKABLE, for purposes of this GC war crime violation (returning to the battlefield after capture & repatriation), and prosecuted.
So -- we hold em. IF they don't want to be "held" -- don't shoot at American & Iraqi forces!!!!!!
AT G'TMO SOME OF THEM HAVE IT WAAAAAAAAY TOO EASY
I think the most effective way is to email his contributers:

Hurt him where it counts!
How is that traitors like Durbin and McCain get elected?
great post!
Bump
I called Durbin's office today to respectfully request that he take back his comments. The woman that took my call was incredibly rude, crude and socially un-acceptable. She cut me off several times, before I could make my request. I could not belive how rude. I then called Pelosi's office to ask that she say something to the effect that his comments were not acceptable. They were much nicer and in fact apologized for the rudeness of Durbin's office. This is Mrs. Wardaddy, fyi.
We sure as hell didn't have air conditioning when I was in the army. When I went through basic training at Fort Dix we had no heat in the barracks, either. Every night the water froze in the butt cans, and we were only issued one blanket. I usually wore my fatigue jacket to bed, but that wasn't very warm, either.
Does anyone imagine that American POWs in Vietnam had air conditioners in their prisons, when Kerry was in Paris selling them out?
What an effete snob, not to say fool and traitor.
Whine, whine, whine! Imagine how men would complain if they had to endure menapausal hot flashes and night sweats?
