Burned Qurans Left at Va. Muslim Center

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- A bag stuffed with burned Qurans was left in front of an Islamic center, shocking members when they arrived for prayers.

The torched copies of the Muslim holy book were inside a plastic shopping bag, members of the Islamic Center of Blacksburg said. They said the bag had been placed at the center's front door sometime before Saturday prayers.

"It is a shame that people are so ignorant," member Idris Adjerid said.

Kevin Foust, the agent in charge of the Roanoke FBI office, said Thursday his office is helping local police investigate. He declined to speculate whether the incident would be classified as a hate crime under state or federal law.

I disagree about the way this this thread is evolving. Let's just say there are only 5 chemical substances needed to bring a house down. The first two comprise what is called Thermite (not extinguishable with water). The other three are used to ignite the firestorm. There are consequences for this. Is anyone prepared for this sort of activity? Burning people alive is not the way to get to a wholesome diet.

They're not. The ones I know condemn the violence all the time.

Please post links to all of the sites and articles you can find where anyone of them has condemned the actions of their fellow Muslims. Or at least some of them, as the way you are talking here, there must be a great number of them. If they are true Americans this should be fairly easy for you to do.

I have yet to see a single one since 9/11. The only articles I have seen are the ones where they claim they are victims of our prejudice.

CAIR constantly decries intolerance against Muslims in this country. Yet very, very few Muslims immigrants can recount actual incidents of violence or discrimination carried out against them. The vast majority of them go about their day to day lives in complete peace and safety throughout the United States.

Meanwhile, Muslims brutally slaughter (suicide bombings, beheadings, stonings) not just infidels but other Muslims with weary regularity in the Middle East. The truth is, Muslims are safer and freer living among suspicious and hypervigilent American Christians in the US than they are living among other Muslims in the Middle East.

This is like comparing apples to oranges. To begin with Timothy McVeigh was just as anti American as the terrorists are. I sure as hell don't count him as part of the human race, let alone part of my group or religion. You are just spouting BS in order to keep from answering a legitimate question. Fanatics are committing atrocities against innocent people for their Religion! You don't think it would be a great benefit for others of this same religion to come out condemning such atrocities? If a member of my church committed such crimes you better believe I would be out there making sure every mothers son knew it was not my or my congregations beliefs to that had anything to do with it. I would help any way I could to bring such a$$hole bandits to justice!

So answer the question. Why is it not a single member of this so called religion of peace, made any effort to stop the massacre of 3,000 innocents?

Listen closely. It's 'HOORAAH'. I did what I said I was going to do a few weeks ago and put a koran in the urinal of a bar near me. After a week, it looked like it had bean sprouts growing out of it and the proprietor threw it out with the trash. I am not a bar person. There are 6 more targets to check up on.
