Hillary Clinton...She really isn't superhuman (Vanity)
Free Republic | June 16, 2005 | Sonny M

Posted on 06/16/2005 4:06:45 PM PDT by Sonny M

For awhile, it was okay, but now its gotten way to out of hand.

This whole Hillary Clinton "super power" myth is starting to turn normal rational folks into thinking she is some kind of mythical beast with supernatural powers of mind control.

She is, simply put, a hyper ambitious leftist with a horrible agenda, but she is no super villian genius who is unstoppable.

Every time she walks out the door to get breakfast, we have to see a story about how this is a political ploy to get voters.

Half of this country hates her, the other half is sick and tired of hearing about her.

And yet, we have normal people on the right who think she is the greatest campaigner since Teddy Rosevelt.

We're talking about a woman who beat a guy who looks like my paper boy (and might actually be him) in a race that should have been a total blowout win. If Lazio had realized that there is a part of NY state above NYC, it might have helped him out.

Yes, the media loves her and adores her and hates conservatives....and that got John Kerry where?

People seem to think that she has the secret powers of mind control, and all women will suddenly lose their minds and vote for her, yea, even Ann Coulter, because Hillary has those kinds of powers of mind control that no one can resist her.

This is idiotic, she is not the grand mystical creature to be feared, she will probably lose more states then Kerry, her being at the top of the ticket throws about 5 blue states into play.

Yet, to hear some freepers talk about it, they seem to think she could swing texas by drinking milk and smiling.

Has anyone ever heard her give a speech? Her own supporters, to put it kindly, don't think its her strong point.

To put it more bluntly, she is a horrible public speaker, she whines and sounds shrill. I know teachers who like her, who have compared her public speeches to finger nails across the chalk board.

She controls her interviews, so what? She isn't that smart, if she was, she would have fired her handlers years ago for doing such a pathetic job for her. She orders eggs for breakfast and every newspaper thinks it a genius move to the right to get the dairy industry on her side, she orders coffee, and its a message to the agricultural industry.

Thats a smart strategist? That your own supporters think your every single move is political and an (transparent) attempt to redefine yourself?

Thats not good politics, thats a ticket to failure.

She can move to the right of Jesse Helms, and most folks will still think she is a militant leftist (which she is) but she will have the same amount of credibility as before.

How do people believe such nonsense as to assume that every single democrat is united behind her, Howard Dean is a democrat so thus he must also be a servant of Hillary (the fact that he is a nut, who saw the Clintons destroy his campaign is irrelevant, Hillary Clinton knows black magic and has clouded his "fragile little mind").

There is division in the rat party, but no, wait, Hillary is there, it must all be part of an elaborate conspiracy. Kennedy must be her ally, it is her power that wills it....either that or she got him a membership "all you can drink" special at the local watering hold.

Freepers are starting to sound like DUmmies when they talk about Karl Rove, Bush and Cheney.

Hillary Clinton wouldn't know good politics if it walked up to her, smacked her silly, stole her purse and graffitied its name across her pants and left its business card with photo behind.

Why is everybody so scared of a person, who is a bad campaigner, a bad public speaker, hated by about half the country, adored almost only by the media, and backed by a party that would support my left boot if it ran against a republican.

She can raise money, yea, and so can a tort lawyer, it still doesn't make people like them.

Its time to put an end to this paranoia over Hillary and her "mind mastering of the black arts and magical powers" foolishness.

Any decent common sense canidiate who runs against her is going to have a field day ripping her apart, if anything, I can't think of a better guarantee of a GOP President in 2008 then having the dems nominate Hillary.

I've just gotten frustrated with all of this talk about Hillary as if she is some kind of genius who controls the masses and has locked up the white house.

The conspiracy theorism that overwhelms all ideas when it comes to her makes us look like them with Karl Rove.

She isn't brilliant, she is not good at anything really, and ambition plus fifty cents only gets you a cup of coffee (unless your in NYC, then not even that).

Well, I know what you mean but, in all fairness, I think there may be some overlap between these two groups.

It is the agenda driven media that is peddling this manufactured "super' image (much as it proclaims jesse jackson and al sharpton spokesmen for all black Americans).

Sadly, a bunch of lame brains still believe that it must be so if all the news people say that is so!

Check your dosage. Most (not all) liberals love her, and a good number of Moderates like her as well. She is a threat to the Office of Presidency, and has a damn good chance of being their Candidate. Troll DU, they'd eat her **** if given the chance.

We have our fun around here at the Hillster's expense, but I don't think anyone here gives her the credence you seem to perceive. Personally, I think she's a run-of-the-mill charlatan with delusions of grandeur, riding her even LESS valuable husband's coattails to a twisted success.

In short, she shows that in some cases, it's OK to label a woman a PUNK.

Wow, I was thinking about writing a vanity like yours many times. I totally agree with you. She'll have a hard time winning 40% of the male vote and a hard time even splitting the woman vote. I have a feeling men might vote over 60% for the GOP candidate and will at least garner 45% of the women vote against her. The fact is, men will not vote for. Republican women won't vote for her, many independent and even leftist women don't like her cause she stayed with Bill. She has no chance. Nevertheless, with any political candidate we must give 110% and nominate a good candidate. The worst idea (although I like her) would be to nominate Sec. of State Rice because it would get rid of the advantage of running a man against a woman. I hate to sound sexist, but in present day America there are still plenty that just will not vote for a woman for president. If we were to run Rice against Clinton we are making the voters vote for a woman and that could cause us to lose. My suggestion, Senator George Allen. He would win I think (and he was one of the few prominent Senators to meet with the minutemen; I think he understands the seriousness of the immigration issue). Even with all the media hype and many Republicans already conceding not only the nomination to Clinton but the presodency too, he would clean her clock!

I have trolled over there, half of them love her, and the other half hate her (they are actually fooled).

These same folks think she is to conservative, while the other left wing nuts adore her. They prefer Senator Boxer over her though.

She is about as much a threat to the presidency as a mosquito is to a elephant.

I think given a choice between 2 women, some voters, like myself, will not vote for either one. I will never be ready for a female President. Why are men so willing to let women lead? It boggles my mind.

I know Democratic women who don't have any respect for Hillary because she stayed with Bill all those years. These same women would for Billy Boy again if they could.

I think that the whole "Hillary is a political powerhouse" thing is just a media creation.

If given a choice between a Margrat Thatcher or a John Kerry, I'd take a Thatcher.

But she was a rare breed, if we had more women like her, this country would be a much better place.

The woman part doesn't bother me, it has to be about ideology and character.

The above statement is so true and I believe it will be the latter part of that same statement that will be her demise. We're just sick and tired of hearing about her. She is not great.
She is not the smartest woman in the world.
She is not up to the position.
She is not up to answering questions spontaneously.
She is not a pleasant personality.
She is not anything...she is the ONLEEEE thing the dem/libs have to offer. I mean come on...kerry? edwards? Yeah, some real competition there for sure.
hilleree clintin is the former first lady. Then senator. That's it. What has she done earthshaking for New York anyway?
She's a hanger on.
She's nothing and while she may win her party's nominiation...she will not win the White House simply becuase of the two reasons listed above but mostly the second part. Plain and simple. She's old hat, stale and stuffy. . Been around too long and just not fresh enough.
