A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 6.16.05

Yesterday President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney and their wives attended a Congressional Picnic at the White House.

Today President Bush attended National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C along with members of Congress and former Cabinet Minister Tom Ridge.

The President also voiced doubts over the elections taking place in Iran “The June 17th presidential elections are sadly consistent with this oppressive record. Iran's rulers denied more than a thousand people who put themselves forward as candidates, including popular reformers and women who have done so much for the cause of freedom and democracy in Iran.“

Later in the day he spoke about Medicare at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington.

It was also announced that the President will welcome Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Ja'afari to the White House on June 24, 2005

Vice-President Dick Cheney was due to meet Canadian Agriculture Minister Doug Horner first on the “menu” was said to be discussions regarding reopening the border to Canadian cattle.

U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, holds a press briefing with reporters in advance of her trip to the Middle East

The President’s father the Former President Bush is in Weimar, in the eastern region of Germany.

Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell and former prime ministers Bob Hawke of Australia and Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia are attending a global leaders forum in Kuala Lumpur.

Unlikely political allies, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Hillary Clinton join forces to push for a new medical records bill which will allow hospitals to share patient information they said is necessary to prevent life-threatening mistakes, during a joint press conference at George Washington University Hospital in Washington.

Apologies to those who it may offend for posting the photos of Hillary that follow but if I had cropped them it would have looked strange and would IMHO be doing the very thing that we Conservative criticise the democrats of censoring and presenting news in a bias fashion.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

She is a 'Goodwill Ambassador for UN Relations' or some such title that Audrey Hepburn used to have before she passed away.

I believe Julia Roberts also had the job for a while.

Absolutely, you guys are correct, we definitely see the RINOS come into play with the Republican MAJORITY forgoodnesssakes, along with all of the "bi-partisanship" stuff that folks like Hillary! use for their own ends.

I just wish that there was a little more constructive working together on the important issues like the WOT and supporting our military. Maybe some of these folks have been together too long, going out for drinks with each other and to parties and such, and their friendships get in the way of doing the country's business. I don't know.

You're right about Frist, but hillary's MO is the get back into the White House and the Reps are assisting her at every angle. I want things to get done but not at the expense of hillary as our next president. I know I'm being selfish here but I remember the clinton years and how liberal she is and we can NOT ever let the two of them in our WH again.

To me, that's more important than getting a particular bill passed. What he could do is: use her to get some Reps bills passed and in return, he would support her in something, but NOOOO, they don't get anything in return but more personal degration against Rep. from the dems, because they don't insist on it. They just seem to fall all over themselves to get to stand beside hillary, which helps no one but her. They should get what THEY want out of the dems first and only then, assist hillary or some other dem. Experience has proven that if we give them what they want, in exchange for their help later---that later help never comes. They're such liars--you cannot trust them.

What blows my mind is how the Reps could be friends and socialize with the dems after the way the dems trash Reps all the time.

My suspicion is that once an elected Republican crosses into the Beltway, they catch some kind of mental disease which makes it impossible for them to remember why they were elected in the first place.

By the way, Today I received, via Air Mail, the coloring books you sent for my Grandsons. That was very sweet of you and I can't wait to give them to them.

Thank You Very Much!
Mike

They are very nice, I know the oldest "Michael" will enjoy it very much, "Zachary" might need to wait a year before he tries to do the coloring book the justice it deserves. They are very unique, something we don't see here in the USA.

Thank You again!
Mike

She used to be married to Billy Bob Thornton, an actor, and adopted a child from Cambodia. She's now in the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt (sigh!), which I understand is a pretty good movie.

IMO she's just one more airheaded so-called beauty in Hollywood.

Hi Mike, did you have a chance to see post 73
The Man Behind the Attack on Gitmo. from the
Frontpagemag.com site. David Horowitz really
gets to the background on the far left

One of the DC freepers called Mark Levin a short time ago
re the freeping against code pink at Walter Reed and
the White House. They posted a thread the other eve.
They are going to keep up with this while these jerks
are protesting against the war.

LOL, I'm watching the pretend hearing on the "Downing Street Memo" that the democrats held today, where nobody was sworn in and every left wing kook was called to "Testify". just a minute ago, I saw some woman, sitting behind that moron Congressman Conyers, whip out one of her breast and began breast feeding her baby on National TV. Now they have some little dweeb calling for George W. Bush's Impeachment... The discredited former Ambassador Joseph Wilson is on the panel, as well as some ex hippie from the CIA.

The Democrats are coming unglued, and I'm gonna go get me some popcorn for this hilarious display of human fecal matter
