Yesterday President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney and their wives attended a Congressional Picnic at the White House.
Today President Bush attended National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C along with members of Congress and former Cabinet Minister Tom Ridge.
The President also voiced doubts over the elections taking place in Iran The June 17th presidential elections are sadly consistent with this oppressive record. Iran's rulers denied more than a thousand people who put themselves forward as candidates, including popular reformers and women who have done so much for the cause of freedom and democracy in Iran.
Later in the day he spoke about Medicare at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington.
It was also announced that the President will welcome Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Ja'afari to the White House on June 24, 2005

The Presidents father the Former President Bush is in Weimar, in the eastern region of Germany.
Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell and former prime ministers Bob Hawke of Australia and Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia are attending a global leaders forum in Kuala Lumpur.
Unlikely political allies, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Hillary Clinton join forces to push for a new medical records bill which will allow hospitals to share patient information they said is necessary to prevent life-threatening mistakes, during a joint press conference at George Washington University Hospital in Washington.
Apologies to those who it may offend for posting the photos of Hillary that follow but if I had cropped them it would have looked strange and would IMHO be doing the very thing that we Conservative criticise the democrats of censoring and presenting news in a bias fashion.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
I found it in a magazine called Y'all. When I first looked through the issue, I did not pay attention and thought the photo was the same one we have all seen before. Imagine my reaction when I discovered what had been sitting in a stack of magazines the past 5 months! It is too good not to share.
You're both right. WAY too good to keep in hiding when so many, who appreciate the finer things in life would love to see it. ;o)
THANKS, to both of you!
The mod explained the situation. Too many screennames in the past.
I just saw the KISS this morning, Ohio . . .
THANKS! What a great start to my day!
(mr.h, where are you???)
:-)
I just ordered it!
(Also ordered the Harry one for one of our daughters. :o)
Kinda overwhelming, isn't it??
That pic is wonderful!!!!
Say me when you post that kind of photos...
Actually... I LOVE DUBYA!!!!!
And our President and First Lady are the essence of romance!
I'm glad you liked it. I'll try to remember to ping you to any other pictures I post like this one...........although, I don't think there are too many like this one!
While I didn't appreciate Angelina Jolie not standing when Condi shook hands with her, I think it's worth noting that Angelina has donated a huge amount of her own money to the UN - she clearly believes in what she is doing.
I never heard whether Julia Roberts or Audrey Hepburn used any of their own money in the UN office they held, so I think we should cut some slack for Angelina.
Bill O'Reilly, who I no longer watch but can't help hearing "promos" for his shows since I listen/watch so much of FNC, I think you'd like to know that his staff investigated whether she had actually donated the money that some rag had reported, and the bottom line is that she indeed had.
You and I may disagree over whether the UN should even exist, or not, and how much good it is doing, or not, but Angelina Jolie is at least one Hollywood star who tries to do some good with her money, and takes her title at the UN very seriously. I believe she was also one of the Hollywood folks who donated a Million dollars of their own money for the Tsunami relief.
Just thought you might like to know.
I now return you to the Dose - and discussions on our President, VEEP, First Lady and Condi.
oh you're right!!! this one is almost perfect!!! i really love them two. they are so... sweet!!!
I'm very glad you have shared your love of President and Mrs. Bush with us!
And you're right..........they are SO sweet!!
I didn't question her sincerity...I only said her legs were skinny. :-)
Yep, in a cool sort of way.
They're a great example, aren't they?
