One excerpt:
George Felos, attorney for Michael Schiavo, said the findings back up their contentions made "for years and years" that Terri Schiavo had no hope of recovery. He said Michael Schiavo planned to release autopsy photographs of her shrunken brain.
"Mr. Schiavo has received so much criticism throughout this case that I'm certain there's a part of him that was pleased to hear these results and the hard science behind them," Felos said.

What is the basis for calling it spin?
Wonder what dehydration and starvation does to the brain???
Hard to say what the status of that brain was before they dehydrated and starved Terri to death!!!!
"Mr. Schiavo has received so much criticism throughout this case that I'm certain there's a part of him that was pleased to hear these results and the hard science behind them," Felos said.
Maybe if he hadn't kicked the family out of the hospital room when Terri died and refused to tell them where the ashes were, people wouldn't have such a low opinion of him. He also denied her communion, which is harmless and takes but a few moments, and was obviously important to the family. I'm tired of the whole case, yet my opinion of Mr. Schiavo has not changed.
No sign of abuse. Like none of the physical signs will heal in 10 plus years. Other than the brain damage, I wonder would would still be seen this many years later.
The autopsy doesn't reveal whether he smacked her around or not. It didn't show any physical signs of abuse like broken bones, but, this autopsy hardly clears him of abuse.
I wonder what would still be seen this many years later?
There is still one aspect of this that deserves careful thought. Is dehydration the way any human being (no matter how damaged) should be put to death?
The basis? Well, the autopsy indicates that this woman died of dehydration at the order of her husband, and we are told to believe that the autopsy vindicates him. That is, uh, "spin."
"Pretty obvious that you did not read the autopsy report. It clearly states that she did not die of starvation. "
DID I SAY SHE DID?????
Maybe you should read again exactly what I said.
So, are people here who demonized Michael Shiavo and those like me who sided with him, going to apologize for all the falsehoods, lies and hatred they've shown?
Now you don't like him for his actions during the last day of Terri's life, and the days after her passing?
What you don't seem to understand is Michael and Terri's family COULDN'T be in the same room TOGETHER. Who would want to? He, falsely accused, loudly and repeatedly of being a murderer by them and being charged over a dozen times in court, and them believing he was responsible for their daughter's condition and of wanting to murder her. So, whenever her family came over, Michael would go into another room and wait there until they left.
Didn't he have the right to be with Terri at the moment of her death? If he WASN'T there, wouldn't the criticism against him be that he was so uncaring that wasn't there when she died whereas her family was?
The poor guy is damned no matter what he does. Your hatred is unwarranted.
Furthermore, how can you, or anyone else, know the exact moment of Terri's death? Every assumption before the fact was wrong. She could've also died during the time her family was present.
What about before that time, in all the weeks and months before the feeding tube was removed?
I find it disgusting so-called "Christians" don't have the decency to apologize when they were clearly in the wrong. Michael did NOT beat her or strangle her or tried to murder her or abuse her in ANY way. Terri was BLIND - there was NO way for her eyes to transmit data to her visual cortex, her brain weighed less than a grapefruit and suffered massive neural death, making it IMPOSSIBLE for ANY cognitive ability whatsoever. She could not swallow, communicate or recognize anyone, open eyes or grunting notwithstanding. It was impossible to keep her alive without ARTIFICIALLY using a feeding tube.
Now, the goalposts are moved to Michael's actions during Terri's death and post-death.
Some people are just bigots and act in a shameful way, to Christ's everlasting shame.
What would Jesus do?
Are you a medical examiner? Don't you think an ME would know the effects of dehydration on the brain and factor it in?
Unlike some people, I DON'T pretend to know more than those who spent years studying and years working in their chosen profession.
Terri's autopsy PROVED without a doubt the removal of the feeding tube was NO different than pulling the plug of a heart/lung machine or signing a Do Not Resuscitate order - all are ARTIFICIAL life extensions for those who have NO hope of recovery.
"Wonder what dehydration and starvation does to the brain???
Hard to say what the status of that brain was before they dehydrated and starved Terri to death!!!!"
Blind...just MY thought
The autopsy proves nothing either way. The ME can not identify what caused a healthy heart to stop beating and an autopsy is incapable of determining a state, or no state, of consciousness.
The only thing we know for sure is that the State of Florida oredered her death without 100% knowledge of those issues. Some support that and some don't. You can put me in the don't column.
I believe Jesus would never deny a severely disabled woman food and water.
I believe Jesus would respect and value all human life - that he would see the beauty and inherent God-given worth of all chidren of God, no matter how a society might devalue that life or judge that life according to worldly standards.
I believe Jesus would be especially loving, compassionate and caring to those who are the most vulnerable, the most helpless among us - to the throw-away people whom society no longer consider worthy of life.
I believe Jesus would allow God to call His special children home at the time of His choosing.
That's just my opinion of what I think Jesus might do.
Dehydration is how you die when you are starved.
