Some divorce statistics may be misleading.

For example, simply dividing the number of divorces by the number of marriages will result in a higher percentage than dividing the number of people who have ever been divorced (one or more times) by the number of people who have ever been married.

Sure, I'd treat them the same. I reserve the right to reject any couple who desires marriage.

Any chaplain on duty with the US military is an official representative of their denomination. Their ongoing appointment is first controlled by their denomination. Once they cease performing in religious matters according to the distinctives of that denomination, then their appointment can be yanked by their denomination. At that point, the military is helpless to continue them as a chaplain.

Given the current law and regulation, they could NOT be legally ordered in our military to violate their religious beliefs.

I AGREE! There is another high number 40-50% divorce rate of people who have been divorced before, and as the number of divorces rises, (3rd marriage, 4th marriage etc) so does the percentage.
