For youngsters, or people with weak history backgrounds, I've compiled some comparisons, some historical context for Senator Durbin's remarks.

One has to wonder what political advantage people like Durbin and Dean are trying to gain? Do they really believe they are going to be able to build up anti-American sentiment as a way to win elections? One has to wonder if they really want the Democrat Party to recover, much like Clinton, they are doing more to destory the party than all their enemies combined. They still haven't learned from the last election, Michael Moore and all the left wing crazies sent the independents breaking for Bush. They are marginalizing themselves horribly and even if people don't necessarily support everything the President is doing it really isn't a choice when the choice is to vote for an increasingly Anti-American party.

Durbin apparently wishes to occupy the same stage by equating ours troops to nazi's.

What do you expect? He was elected by the same yobs who put Barack Obama into office. Illinois is a lost cause. Hand it over to the Muslims and their Dhimmi stooges like Blago, Daley, and Durbin. The yob voters and their legions of ghostly allies (whose arise from cemeteries on election day) will probably vote this fool into office for another six years in 2006.
We should also contact all of our Republican Senators and DEMAND that a vote of censure be brought on the floor for Durbin's outrageous remarks.
There is no way Sen Lott should lose his leadership for what he said, while Durbin expects to not even have to apologize for this.

If I were a relative of a guard at Gitmo, I'd be at Durbin's office this morning demanding that apology. What a disgraceful piece of trash this waste of flesh is!
